What are bad associations that spoil useful habits?

1 Corinthians 15:33

All the Bibles on my list except one go with bad associations are people with their bad ways. One exception. This one: Aramaic Bible in Plain English
Be not deceived, evil discourse corrupts pleasant minds.

The list: 1 Corinthians 15:33 Do not be misled: "Bad company corrupts good character."

The word "habits" is translated from éthos which is more than a person's manner. It means customs. Costoms are what people DO, not what people ARE. Strongs 2239 Definition: habit, manner, custom, morals.

The custom of Jesus' disciples is to preach the word.

They have made The Bible mean that if you associate with the wrong people you will become wrong like they are. But it requires two things of you. One is that you consider yourself a good association and the other is that you know how to identify a bad one.

The cross reference in the New World Translation for it is 1 Cor 5:6 6 Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven ferments the whole batch of dough?

If people are bad associations then accordingly people are the dough.

Let's imagine the lump is all that makes up the heavenly bread. Let's not imagine the lump means all believers.

Heaven bread is all scripture which is beneficial 2 Timothy 3:16

So bad association means reading something into it that isn't there which means wrong.

Preaching the word but doing it wrong is what 1 Corinthians 15:33 warns about.

Please prove me wrong if you can.

They say it is about who a Christian should associate with. They say if a Christian associates with a person who is "bad company" the Christian's morals will be spoiled. What are the rules for deciding what is bad association? According to the Jehovah's Witnesses bad associations are people who stand their ground against JW beliefs. But I propose the bad association of 1 Corinthians 15:33 means standing against the truth of God's word. It is not about the men who taught differently. It is about what they were teaching. It is a warning for them as much as it is a warning for anyone.

Are bad association people?

To prove bad associations are people teachers use the scripture at 1 Cor 5:11 to prove it.

But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people.

and this one;

2 Thessalonians 3:6
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we command you, brothers and sisters, to keep away from every believer who is idle and disruptive and does not live according to the teaching you received from us.

And they say they are warnings for preventing harm to the obedient ones. But not being friendly to disobedient ones IS FOR THEM. Not for you. If their conscious is weak, being friendly with them will discourage them from their mission to perfect themselves like this, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God. 2 Corinthians 7:1. Because for some people close friendly contact means approval. But they are not approved. To gain The God's approval they must want it. They won't want it if they think they have it. They will think they have it if they are acceptable TO YOU.

Please prove to me the warnings about association are for protecting faith and that bad associations mean people because that is what is being taught.

It is being taught that being with people who disagree with you is able to do you harm. This is not a problem?

Let us suppose the mind is able to direct the course of life on Earth. To protect the Earth there must be a way to agree what is best for it. It is possible! Is it possible if the mind believes association with other minds is bad?
