Similarities between Islam and Christianity

Hi all, there are numerous similarities between Islam and Christianity (note: not muslims and christians) I thought of beginging with the Greetings.

Greet you in the same manner as Jesus (pbuh) greeted in Hebrew
Luke 24:36
‘Sholam alay kum’

or

Islamic greeting in Arabic Assalaamu alai kum
both meaning
‘Peace be on you’.

I hope we can post here, and come closer to each other on common terms

Noble Quran, 3:64 Say: "O People of the Book! come to common terms as between us and you: That we worship none but God. that we associate no partners with him; that we erect not, from among ourselves, Lords and patrons other than God."

good idea for a thread akhiy/ukhtiy

Isa 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Thankyou Brother John...

Almost the same verse in the Quran

Noble Quran, 3:64 Say: "O People of the Book! come to common terms as between us and you: That we worship none but God. that we associate no partners with him; that we erect not, from among ourselves, Lords and patrons other than God."

The Christian believe in "Trinity",

Nowhere in the bible, does the word, "trinity" appears.

It does appear in the Quran

O People of the Scripture! Do not exaggerate in your religion nor utter aught concerning God save the truth. The Christ, Jesus son of Mary, was only a messenger of God, and His word which He conveyed unto Mary, and a spirit from Him. So believe in God and His messengers, and say not "Trinity". Cease! (it is) better for you! God is only One God. Far is it removed from His transcendent majesty that he should have a son. His is all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And God is sufficient as Defender.

Similarily, nowhere in the Bible, the word "Bible" appears

Bible is a Greek word, which means Book...

It does appear in the Quran, at several place, when God addresses the Christian and the Jews

"O people of the Book" (Ahlel Kitab)

Hey im not here to debate the Trinity or anything, but if u got a question bout it there is a huge debate bout it on the christian posts. Anyways i think it would be nice to here our similarities rather then our differences
