Praying for the kingdom

For the Kingdom to come means that God will use Kingdom or heavenly government to bring real peace to the earth. Only under the rule of God's Kingdom will be obedient humans brought to the perfection. If pray for it to come it means that we want God to bring about all his promises.

Jesus told his disciples to pray for the kingdom to come, but he also said that only his father knew the date the kingdom was supposed to arrive.
If God already decided on a date, why should we pray for the kingdom to come? That won't make it happen any faster...

Dear Sky,
There is the kingdom of God, when Yeshua will reign from Jerusalem, right after he returns subsequent to Jerusalem being surrounded and captured by the nations (Ze 14)
Then there is the kingdom of heaven, which is at hand, which consist of power and Spirit. (Mt 10:7) The kingdom of heaven is power and spirit, and the prayer of Mt 6:9 reads thy kingdom come and thy will be done on earth as in heaven. Prayer, repentence, and fasting for 3 weeks (Dan 10:3) results in warfare in heaven for 21 days (Dan 13), in which the the outcome of his prayer was in question. See Daniel 9:3'& 10:13, whereas the angels in heaven fight in order to reveal to Daniel his informational request. For Daniel's appeal to know information on earth, had to first be dealt with in heaven.

I do not know why they both can't be right. The real Kingdom of God on Earth means submitting ourselves to God for God to work the kingdom through us.

Why do people believe in a ruling class? God is able to accomplish God's will through the least one. Why are people waiting for a visible manifestation? Why do people believe that after all the years of man's failure to rule righteously it will finally happen through men's rule?
Correction: God accomplishes God's will through the least one. God always chooses the "least one." Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Joseph's grandson, Moses, Jesus -- all "least."

I think the prayer Luke 11:2, referred to the advancement and strength of God's kingdom once it arrived. I believed it arrived at Pentecost when the church was formed, Revelation 5:9-10. The kingdom came 3,000 strong and grew rapidly after that.
