Hmmm.

Well, I have to look at the huge and horrendous and extremely UNSEASONABLE tornadoes that have just torn across a goodly part of the U.S. that voted for half-brain Bush.

Then, I have to look at the incredible drought--and the incredible range fires that have just scorched across a goodly part of the U.S. that voted for half-brain Bush.

Either I have to believe that God is punishing the fools who voted for Bush or I have to believe in global warming.

Then, there's the past incredible hurricane season which, again, largely punished a goodly part of the U.S. that voted for half-brain Bush.

Hmmmm. Do I believe that God is punishing those who voted for half-brain Bush?

Or, do I believe in global warming?

Hmmmm.

I've always believed in global warming and threw out the idea of creationism,... but when you put it that way... :biglaugh:

Yeah, I believe in creationism. But I believe in a fallen creation, thus the storms, global warming, well that's probably our stupidity. I don't even wanna discuss politics, or God's judgement, just too heavy for me right now.

Hi, yes I believe in creation and Bush has to do with this how? I think that maybe the US is in for so much more. How does the alleged global warming have to do with this? I say alleged because since we really have only been keeping good weather records for so short a time I figured that an inteligent person would wait e few to see if it is true. Oh I forgot there are alot of people getting rish and making good livings coming up with this. We have even paid millions to test cow crap. Are we still the greatest place?

Oh, not really. They can both be true:

Global warming is a fact

AND

God is punishing the people who voted for Bush.

Of course I believe in creationism! God created us using evolution.

At least Moses' bush had a bit more class than our Bush!

Well, since God punishing people for voting for Bush has little or nothing to do with believeing that God created the Universe......

And, yes - both of the things you mentioned can be true at the same time.

Scientists get paid peanuts, i don't know a single rich scientist.

The people getting rich are the people pumping poison into our skies. Its too late to do anything about it now anyway, we're already doomed. So, you might as well stay ignorant.

I believe in creationism but not through evolution, although some Christians do, and while I have valid points from the Bible, other Christians have their own points from the Bible but I do not feel they hold up. I'm not gonna argue about it, its important, but it is not an 'essential' and I do not like to cause division over 'non-essentials'. Just wanted to state my belief, don't feel like debating. Just chillin for now.

You're going to have to make a choice, ya know!
This might seem dumb but are you kidding here? I mean I know you aren't kidding about W. Because.....well......its just not even fun to joke about anymore. It's really really shameful and scary. I mean about the creationism v. global warming.

Thats so funny because my husband and I never graduated from college but my friend and her husband are both scientists (she's a molecular biologist, he's a seismologist here at cal-tech) and we make slightly more money than they do.

Yes folks - she tries to cure cancer every day and I try to help people manage their debts on their home - where are our priorities?!;)

Some excellent points, JillianMarie, and, frankly, I am so frightened by global warming that I have to laugh and make jokes about it to keep my sanity.

I greatly fear for those on coasts and in tornado alleys.
