Publicly funded sterilization

Completely free, publicly funded sterilization. You must be 18 to 25 years of age to qualify. You get $500 check after the procedure is complete, and $50 less after each year over 18.

This would solve so many of today's problems.

Thoughts?

I don't believe in or support eugenics or such harsh measures of depopulation, so no.

If anything we can limit the application cap to several hundred a year and remove the check incentive.

Over-population is dangerous too.
But I doubt that such a program in Americastan would put much of a dent into this world-wide problem.

No, I'd rather people be responsible with their reproductive facilities and for us to actually stamp out things that disadvantage people like poverty. If someone wants to be sterilized, they can pay for it themselves. It seems that your plan is just thinly veiled Malthusian eugenics, which is immoral.

I want people to be responsible for themselves too, unfortunately not everyone wants to be responsible for themself. Imagine this being offered in a society where food, shelter, education, and medical care are non-issues. What then?

I cannot support it since it is immoral and would be sinful to do so.

Well I'm against abortion. This sounds a lot better to me than fetus poisoning/burning/chopping.

I'm against abortion (which is also immoral and sinful) as well, but I still fail to see how eugenics would help our decaying culture.
