I am not campaigning against food as last time i checked you need to eat to live, albeit in a sensible way. YOU DO NOT NEED ALCOHOL to live, it doesn't provide any of the daily nutrients etc that the human body needs.

It just destroys lives, now please get back on topic.

If you are referring to Jesus then as far as I am concerned he does not count.

Alcohol is OK, just because you and your lot aren't upto the job of consuming it does not mean I who can should be denied it. I have handled other drugs with equal success.

Does he not "count" because you dismiss him? Or is he so superior that we can not do what he did?

To count him or not is of course a personal decision. My decision is to imitate him and his godliness. Most of this imitation centers around love and understanding love. Jesus was also criticized for his drinking by the "pseudo religious" of his day...

A guy who can rise from the dead as a party trick would hardly care about the state of his liver.

Alcohol has caloric content: so it is nutritious. Even Paul told Timothy to take a little wine to quiet his nerves (stomach). Used sensibly, there is no reason to avoid alcohol.

So, is it your contention that any use of alcohol will result in scirosis of the liver? Do you have any medical studies to back this up, or are you merely attempting to be cute?

With all due respect drinking alcohol and referring to it's nutritious content it a little lame. I am a boozer and I would not resort to that.

If there was no drinking (of alcohol), the world would be a better place.

I am pointing out that a guy who can rise from the dead probably didn't have to suffer from anything that us mere mortals have to due to the intake of alcohol. I mean being the son of God would YOU put up with a hang over.

All I have stated is that as alcohol is bad for you, we should remove it from society, therefore removing tempation from the weak.

Jesus bled when he was cut and IF he got drunk (which I doubt) then he suffered the consequences.

Not only did he make wine, but he made a stellar wine. It's not worth doing if you don't do your very best. I am confident that this wine would have brought tears of joy to the eyes of a sommelier.

Believe that and you'll believe anything. If you have rising from the dead as the joker in your pack then I am sorry you simply are not operating on the same level.

Jesus was a light boozer, seems like he had himself a woman too so he's an OK guy in my opinion. But to say he was going through life the same way as us not knowing for sure what happens when we die is frankly ludicrous.
