What does it mean "I never knew you"?

Robert.Evans

You will be assimilated; it is His Will.
It is written the Lord will say (or says) "I never knew you. Get away from me you workers of lawlessness."
Matthew 7:23

What does "I never knew you" mean?

Anyways, if we are to take this as it is stated, then he "never knew" him. What can this ultimately mean other than just that, he never knew them. If this is so, then how does he create all things through him (Col 1). How can something therefore exist without him knowing them. Puzzle???

Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me. John 17:25

"All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.Matthew 11:27

They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me. John 16:3

Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.John 17:3

Then they prayed, "Lord, you know everyone's heart. Show us which of these two you have chosenActs 1:24

"I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve."Jeremiah 17:10

He said to them, "You are the ones who justify yourselves in the eyes of others, but God knows your hearts. What people value highly is detestable in God's sight.Luke 16:15

there is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God. Romans 3:11

The יְֽהוָ֗ה has looked down from heaven upon the sons of men To see if there are any who understand, Who seek after God. Psalm 14:2

From heaven the LORD looks down and sees all mankind; from his dwelling place he watches all who live on earthPsalm 33:13,14

Senseless people do not know, fools do not understand, Psalm 92:6

I have listened attentively, but they do not say what is right. None of them repent of their wickedness, saying, "What have I done?" Each pursues their own course like a horse charging into battle. Jeremiah 8:6

This is my proof Jesus said "me you do not know".

What is your proof he will say "I do not know you"?

There will be many who say....Lord! Lord!....and I know them not.

Different books report differently.

I would have to bow out of this debate if the word "never" (οὐδέποτε) was not written there.
So the reason why it must be believed Jesus says or will say "I never knew you....get away from me" is because all the Bibles say it. And I am a trouble maker for disagreeing. God that's a lot of Bibles. But what is interesting to me and impossible to believe is that I am the trouble maker and not the one who transcribed wrong what Jesus really said.

Here is another reason he did not say "I never knew you".

It is written Jesus stands at the door knocking and if anyone opens to him he comes in to eat with that one who opened to him.

Now the Bibles says there are people who believe they eat with Jesus but who Jesus says about them he NEVER knew them.

So now we have Jesus knocking on the doors of people he does not know.

If it is true that ALL scripture is inspired and beneficial for teaching, reproving and setting things strait, what fine lesson is learned when Jesus says (in the end) "I never knew you, get away from me"?

Oh! And if he says it in the end which is what they say, then the one to whom he is sayiong "get away from me" WROTE it because how would anyone who he doesn't say it to KNOW he says it (in the future)?

What's the point of knowing it?

What fine lesson can we learn about The Father and the son Christ Jesus knwing Jesus will say to many people who will say "Lord Lord we did as you commanded" and he will say to them "I never knew you, get away from me"?

What is the lesson for me to learn by it?

I will tell you the fine lesson learned by Jesus' words "you never knew me away from me were your works of lawlessness".

It means you have not opened the door he is knocking on. If you are able to acknowledge you haven't opened it, you might think about that. You might open it.

You might ponder on what lawlessness means and may discover man's lawlessness does not equal God's lawlessness. It's not the same.

You might learn what away means.

You might even be able to define "works" from a heavenly perpective.

I hope someone will chime in and tell me the lesson or lessons to learn believing Jesus says or will say "I never knew you, get away from me". Because I am embolden to say that Jesus is a jerk.

Also which is it please? Will he say it in the future or is he saying it now?

I am someone Jesus will say "I never knew you, get away from me" and what I hear him saying is "nothing you did was good enough, get away from me". And I will say "but I can hear you! I know many people could not and would not hear you". "Get away to where Lord?" "Where are you telling me to go please?" And I will go away thinking NOW he tells me what to do. Why didn't he tell me what to do when I had the chance to obey him? Now he is telling me "get away from me" and here I stand not having done anything to please him and he is commanding me to go away. Will it please him if I obey his last command? How so?

Why does Jesus expect obedience in the end from people who were not obedient to him in the beginning? "Get away from me" he will say. Will they obey him? Why?

If indeed the man called Jesus said "I never knew you get away from me you workers of lawlessness" that man is not Jesus Christ God's son. Then the fact that it was written down to obey means the Bible we know promotes the antichrist.

If the Bible as we know it promotes the antichrist, it should be destroyed.

If it is destroyed then what Jesus really said "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away" will be proved false. Matthew 24:35

You're dancing on a line drawn.
And that line is intended for severity.

Let it go for now.

Perhaps it would help....
To say 'I never knew you' is indeed severe.
It speaks of a parting of the ways.

Without return.

Focused on the edge of a sword...you're bound to cut yourself.
I know...I make knives....I've cut myself!

If indeed the man called Jesus said "I never knew you get away from me you workers of lawlessness" that man is not Jesus Christ God's son.
Why not? Should he embrace all those who are not clean? Then what of those who are? Will that not make the clean then unclean? So how can be embrace what is not clean.
Then the fact that it was written down to obey means the Bible we know promotes the antichrist.
Recall that John 3.16 says that "God loved the world" not that the son did. He came for those that were lost only. This does not mean that it does not include everybody at some point, because it is Fractal, and there are many worlds, but within this realm, it has to be that way. That is why we have rubbish bins, to keep it from the things in the house that are clean

What is it you really mean from your posts? I struggle to understand what you mean. Is it that you think that the Bible is corrupt? if so, I don't agree

Nice to hear you again :)

Here is some more proof Jesus said "Me you never knew away from me are your works of lawlessness".

Jesus said "teach them all I have commanded you and I am WITH you".

When you teach what Jesus did not command he is the opposite of with which is away.

It is written a little leaven ferments the whole thing.

Jesus said teach them ALL I have commanded. What will happen if you promote 99 out of a hundred things of his but one is wrong?

He said "as I commanded". Look and see what weight the word "command" carries.

Cognate: 1781 entéllomai – to command, emphasizing the end-objective, i.e. reaching the purpose (consummation, end result) of an order – i.e. as envisioning how or where it ends up. See 1785 (entolē).

also look at the word used for "all".

3956 /pás ("each, every") means "all" in the sense of "each (every) part that applies." The emphasis of the total picture then is on "one piece at a time." 365 (ananeóō) then focuses on the part(s) making up the whole – viewing the whole in terms of the individual parts.

History has proved believers in Christ Jesus do not obey this command. How do I know? His commands or sayings to take to heart are not the same for all followers of his.

Something's wrong. Many who call themselves believers in Jesus Christ would rather stick to their customs than to make consideration. This is prophesied here as a warning:

Not forsaking the gathering together (into unleavened bread) as some have the custom. Hebrews 10:25

Does it not say in John that Yahshuah is the Saviour of the world?!

Well, a scripture would be nice. But I know what you mean and I missed you too. :)

The Jesus they worship is power. The Jesus I worship is love.

I am from Massachussetts. The former US President Kennedy is from that place. His famous words are "ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your counrty". It seems to me people are waiting for Christ to do for them. If he is king (I believe it) then it is rational to believe it is we who do for him. I am.

As reception here for internet is not good, I cannot post too much I think. Shall look for some scripture if that is what you want. Though I would like to hear a clearer point from what you are saying. In a nutshell.

Why say "I am" ??

Uh. Read the gospel. I think it is not wise to think along the lines of "the king SHOULD" do something or other. Do you?

He came to call sinners. "Clean" people do not need saving. Do they?

Recall that John 3.16 says that "God loved the world" not that the son did. He came for those that were lost only.
The son is a reflection of The Father. Whatever scripture says about the son applies also to The Father. How is this not true?
This does not mean that it does not include everybody at some point, because it is Fractal, and there are many worlds, but within this realm, it has to be that way. That is why we have rubbish bins, to keep it from the things in the house that are clean
OK I should pick up my trash. What about things too small for the bin, like dust? It's in the air too. But you know that.
But the Bible is not destroyed so his words are not proved false.
You put the written word above the Spirit of God. Heaven considered that a crime.
What is it you really mean from your posts? I struggle to understand what you mean. Is it that you think that the Bible is corrupt? if so, I don't agree
Yes. The Bible is corrupted. I am not and I am holding it in my heart. The corrupted Bible has not corrupted me.
Nice to hear you again :)
Thank you. You too.
