First off, I'd like to thank the staff for putting their trust in me and inviting me to become one of them. So with no further ado, here I am all summed up in about 10 seconds worth of reading time:

I have a twisted, macabre and gallows sense of humor that doesn't always go over well. Yesterday, April 7 was 34 years I'm in the IT field, as a computer systems operator, data center operations manager, system administrator and second level support, in that order. I really wish I became a cop. I like to think I play guitar (I'm a lazy cowboy chords rhythm player); I lift weights and was a powerlifter before some injuries caught up with me and I had surgery; I'm a geek.

So have at it... anything you want to know or say (uh... within reason and good taste, and sparing my fragile ego :sad4:).

Congrats!

Cool. I like the job the mod staff does around here to keep things flowing smoothly. I know how hard that can be, as I was an active mod for about 10 years on another religious site. Quite happy to just be a member here, thank you. ;)

I'm in IT as well. Many years and all hats from networking, storage, VMWare, etc, typically level 3 with some basic desktop junk mixed in before. Now I specialize. Official title is Senior Virtualization Engineer. I love the awesome sound of that. Kind of like high-tech mysticism. ;)

Good choice for you as a mod. Good luck, and enjoy the role.

Thanks. I've been around the internet since 1997 (I have no life), and have been a member of forums and modded one or two, from running to bass guitar to weightlifting, and it's true, it's a tough job at times.

Thanks. I'm learning (at 56 years old ) that one can't be dour and humorless all one's life. Be young, have fun.

Congrats. My husband is in IT too, what a job (the things I hear).

Hope you survive this one (being staff on RF). Good luck! :D

Congratulations!

I also enjoy a dark, gallows humor. Those things exist, we might as well make light of them and get a laugh out of it :)

A belated congratulations. You certainly deserve it (is that a good thing?) ;)

Hope us crazies don't drive you nuts.

What? Me worry?
Have you seen my keys? And would you mind doing a jazz minor harmonic scale so I could use it as a ringtone (Eflat minor would be ok)?

Aren't they on the table by the door? :p

You have to remember I'm a lazy cowboy chords rhythm player. Anything more than the circle of 5ths makes me break out in a cold sweat. :D

Oh, yeah, there they are. Thanks. Good thing you're not playing in Europe, you'd have to learn the circle of liters.

Cool! Congrats!

Don´t you guys know that it is bad luck to put keys on the table???
That and new shoes should NEVER go on a table.
