Fatwas are based on the laws of YOUR god... so when you try to shove them down the throats of the rest of the world and to hold back its scientific advance , don't get upset when the response is mocking your faith and your god...

so what do you want exactly?!!!... nobody is sugarcoating it, it's well known that it's a 1-way high-risk trip (technically suicidal), and the participants are well aware of that, actually it didn't stop them from volunteering by the tens of thousands ... you believe it's forbidden because your fair-tale book says so, but it doesn't mean we have to listen to you...

I believe serious colonization Mars missions should be tasked to people who are mature enough to have a healthy grasp over their cultural traditions. To such a degree that they know how to work towards a goal without diverting energies from it to empty practices. If colonizers will start making special demands beyond the measure of good taste the entire mission suffers from it.
Here's a moral of the story: If your religion cannot survive the trip to Mars, perhaps it is a worldly and earthly religion. Personally, if I had the chance to colonize Mars, I imagine its vast deserts and craters to be inspiring beyond measure and will only reaffirm and enhance whichever spiritual sensibilities I have. But then again, I am the kind who firmly believes in taking calculated risks in order to promote extraordinary things. While some people believe taking endless risks in order to gain the most worldly things.

Travel to Mars in NO WAY back is no doubt called suicide , suicide for science mission , so it's forbiden in Islam

if there will be New mission with Way back it's would be allowed .

If the astronauts would travel to Mars with no way back they would live there. And after years die naturally like any other human being.

So its not suicide just because they cant get back.

But according to you its suicide to take a boat over the ocean, arrive on some lonely island where you have food and fresh water and destroy your ship and then die naturally after years of much fun on this island.

That makes no sense at all.

Currently there are some hundred thousand people signed up for the one-way trip.

The explorers of our world were done by pioneers that knew they might not come back.
