imagine a priest approaching the wright brothers right before their first flight experiment and telling them not to do it because it's suicide...

I'm not going to drive to Church this Sunday, because I could hit another car and die, and that's suicide.

maybe you ignored that there was muslim scientist had an experiment in flight , he died in that accident (test) .

so it's very different between two cases ,

if so, driving car is would be forbiden in Islam (because it's maybe could be an accident while drive your car ) ?!!!!

(there is different between accident and CLEAR suicide)

I mean : When the NASA scienctists don't succeded yet to the return alive , so it's suicide scientific mission , because there is no doubt that they will die .because the difficulty of the return to earth .

because one way travel it's forbiden , IF the return will be availible for sure it's will be ALLOWED .

Fatwas is based on the laws of God, that reference from Quran and Hadith.

some fatwas changed when the factures OR result changed , that's depend .

for exemple :
i mean , when the result of the mission to Mars changed to return alive , the mission would be allowed (not forbiden ) , because it's not suicide .

But if you stay on Earth and die some 40 years later its not suicide.

I made a research i found out that the scienctists estimed the travel to Mars take about 7 months
