what do you think about the signature above you? What do think it says about the poster him/herself?

Thank you.
onmybelief is fond of the United Methodist hymn

"O, Master let me walk with Thee" by Washington Gladden
http://www.cyberhymnal.org/htm/o/m/omlmwwt.htm

O Master, let me walk with Thee,
In lowly paths of service free;
Tell me Thy secret; help me bear
The strain of toil, the fret of care.

Help me the slow of heart to move
By some clear, winning word of love;
Teach me the wayward feet to stay,
And guide them in the homeward way.

O Master, let me walk with Thee,
Before the taunting Pharisee;
Help me to bear the sting of spite,
The hate of men who hide Thy light.

The sore distrust of souls sincere
Who cannot read Thy judgments clear,
The dullness of the multitude,
Who dimly guess that Thou art good.

Teach me Thy patience; still with Thee
In closer, dearer, company,
In work that keeps faith sweet and strong,
In trust that triumphs over wrong.

In hope that sends a shining ray
Far down the future’s broadening way,
In peace that only Thou canst give,
With Thee, O Master, let me live.

Makes me think about all the beautiful women in my office (they quite often give that warm and fuzzy feeling) and how I must seriously consider a second wife.

:bonk:

Nehustan's sig always makes me think of a TV announcer. XD

Announcer: And the difference is... THE ONE YOU MAKE!
*THUNDEROUS APPLAUSE*

Jamaesi's signature makes me think of one of the main things that is wrong with human society. :(

But it's so true, so I respect Jamaesi all the more for it. :)

The most potent weapon in the hands of the oppressor is the mind of the oppressed.

a very true and powerful statement. is it a quote?

it makes me think of foucault...probably isn't one of his, though. it'd be much longer. :jiggy:

EDIT : nice, three replies in one go. ok! ormiston - nice quote, fits these boards perfectly...

Divine's makes me think of that song that goes "you are the woman with the strength of tenthousand men" I don't know who sings that...

I personally use my signature lines to educate and amuse. I have recently decided that this space can best serve these purposes by posting little known facts about Chuck Norris. The more we all know about Chuck Norris and his vast array of accomplishments . . . well, . . . . err. . . . hmm.

OK, I guess it just to amuse.

now that i have the chance, i have to point out that aqualung's says sign-i-ature and not signature. ;)

otherwise it perfectly sums up my own feelings when i tried to make up one that'd fit.

Stick of Joseph's sig makes me think of that baby playing the trumpet AquaTull couldn't remember the name of :p

ChrisP's sig reminds me of a discussion I had once with a friend in high school. After I told him about my relationship with the spirits, and what I thought about god and jesus, he said exactly that. :D

Chris' sig reminds me of a mischevious and prankster kind of guy...but with a sense of humor thrown in.

Well, that's how it sounds... :eek:

Yeah... :(

Buttercup's makes me laugh. And reminds me of in my logic class we tried to figure out what "true justice" was. I said it was giving back what was taken, which I still think, even though everybody else in the class thought that was a dumb one. And it reminds me of my wacky teacher... That was a fun class...

"Look! This signiature is exactly one hundred characters, and therefore it's not even mildly amusing!"

I hope that you didn't spend a lot of time on this. Microsoft wordcount says that it is 88 characters without spaces, and 102 characters with spaces.:eek:
