What is your opinion of the devil?

Everything has to have an opposite. I think the Devil is a projection.

This bring up another question, what is Hell to any of you? Is it a state of mind? or an actual place? or just an expression? When the Bible reffers to people being sent to Hell, like in 2 Peter 2:4 "For God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell putting then into gloomy dungeons to be held for judgement." What does this mean to you?

The Devil, Satan, Lucifer whatever is a scapegoat IMHO. People are responcible for the evil that they do.
There is no Devil in my faith, though there are evil spirits, just no one all powerful evil nasty.

Um..I do apologise. The Devil does exist. Of course it does.
God is supposed to cleanse people of sin and evil. God is not human. He is just, a being.The supposed soul in those who follow his ways.
Devil also exists, in a similar way. Not human, or some red demon holding a pitchfork.
He is like, so to speak, the opposite of God. Devil is of temptation, and sin.
God did not create sin. It is the Devil who tempts those, much like Satan did in the Bible to Jesus.
Now, if you believe in God, then you believe in the devil too. If you follow God, the devil still exists, whether you like it or not. You can reject him, but he is there.

If God created everything, then wouldn't God have created the Devil? Therefore God would have created sin. If God and the Devil are not human, then why do you refer to them as he and give them human characteristics?SoulTYPE01 said:

Anyways, God did not create sin. I do have another belief on the matter, but it is futile to put it up since we all have our beliefs and stick to them.
Devil exists. Maybe not physically. But he does.
And for the millions of believers of God, they merely REFUSE to believe in the Devil.

I could. But what difference would it make? You cannot change the opinions or beliefs of those who follow God. I could have flippin DNA matching to the Devil, and it would not do me any good, lol, because if the believer does not acknowledge the Devil, then it's a bit hard..

Just curious.... what is the evidence of such a creature actually existing?
I don't want to argue on that case, sorry moderator. I do not wish to be IP banned
for having a belief differing to others here.
However, the only proof of God's "being" is.....? Please explain. We do not have actual evidence that God's "being", as you put it, existed either. We were not around then. We just go by what we "learned" through bible. (Well basically).

Whoa there, nobody said anything about banning anyone. I simply asked what the evidence was that the devil did indeed exist. All beliefs and ideas are welcome here and no one will be banned simply for having a different view.

LOL, you wouldn't believe me if I told you.
Many say that God has appeared to them through dreams in their defense. Death (reaper, whatever) has appeared to me through my dreams, on literally hundreds of occasions, each occasion being very, er, mind controlling..
Just thought I'd share that.
