Denying prasad because of meat?

No one has trolled you.

Maybe. I rarely give in to pressure if it goes against my values. I ve been surrounded by meat eating people and not eaten meat voluntarily once since my vegetarianism.

Temptation can always happen, but I think the moral stance is to not eat the meat.

Good point and I am being trolled.

At least Eggyolk isn't the one who tried to take zero out of the number line. You remember that thread? It was created last evening.

My favorite troll was the one that aaid he could tell you how much chemotherapy you needed with his numerology sappience.

Whenever you replied telling him how stupid it was he just quoted your post and posted the amount of months you needed :D

How does one go about refusing to eat meat that is offered as sanctified food when it is offered? This is regarded as food blessed by the God and should not be refused so besides politely explaining that you do not eat it, what happens if you are disrespecting a religion by doing so?

simple , ....if a religion required that I eat meat then I would not enter their temple , then no one will be offended .

Everyone else has already answered the question very nicely.

Quite often a sevadar tries to give me karah prashad and I decline because I've already had some. He doesn't know that though. And they've never got upset by it, they just move on to the next person. Having said that the customs at Hazoor Sahib are different to most mainstream Gurdwaras. Most Gurdwaras are strictly vegetarian so lots of different people can eat there without being left out due to not eating meat. The karah prashad in a typical Gurdwara will be made of flour, sugar, water and ghee.
