Woe is me! (A stomach ailment, looking for advice, info)

I seem to be having tremendous difficulties with my stomach right now. For the past several weeks, it has hurt constantly. I often feel nausea, and bile, at times, rises in my throat. I cannot eat anything without magnifying this pain several times over. I am about ready to give up eating completely, it hurts that bad!

I've had trouble getting a doctor's appointment in the near future, so I'm asking here if anyone knows what it might be. I know that this is not medical advice, and I will not take it as such. However, I would appreciate any advice or information.

If anyone has any information on what this may be caused by, please, tell me. I really cannot stand this anymore. :(

I've thought of many things, but I'm not sure if they fit. An ulcer? Perhaps. Cancer of the stomach? Maybe. I just don't know.

The pain isn't always nausa related. Often it's just a dull pain that sometimes rises for a short time to a sharp one. There is always a feeling of coldness, almost of deadness. It is proving extremely painful to vomit. When this ailment forces me to vomit, I dread it horribly, as I know I will get horrible pain in my stomach, chest, and lower throat. I do not think that this pain is acid related; acid reducing drugs have not helped.

I can give more information if required...

PLEASE HELP ME!!! :help:

I am extremeley worried that this is stomach cancer. I have all of the symptoms associated with it:

I have found amounts of blood in my vomit and in my stool. I have a constant weakness and fatigue. I have almost no appetite anymore. Foods I found good before no longer interest me. Eating pleasure is extremely reduced, almost to the point of non-existence. I have constant diarrhea and/or constipation (both exist and they switch over time, back and forth). I have lost small amounts of weight, though this seems to be accelerating slightly (I dont want to make this seem a major aspect of it). I get indigestion and heartburn much more often than, say, last year. Constant abdominal pain and discomfort. Nausea and vomiting, although not so much vomiting (I don't like to). The only one I'm not fully sure about is the bloating.

I'm extremely worried right now. :(

ok, well i think the hospital might be more suited to help you with this - are you at home with family? can you get transportation to a hospital?

I wouldn't jump to the worst conclusion, Dru... ulcers can give the same symptoms. That's what a friend of mine said she felt like when she had an ulcer, actually. Even drinking milk hurt it. Do you think maybe any of the drugs you took could have caused it? She got hers from taking too much ibuprofen.

You may want to investigate acid reflux. It sounds at least a little similar.

As Jensa said, though, try not to jump to the worst conclusion!

There are a million and one things that can go wrong with your digestive system, and NOT ALL OF THEM ARE CANCER! You need to go to a hospital emergency room if you can't get a doctor appointment right away to find out what's wrong. I know it's scary (been there, done that), but there's a good chance it's not cancer at all. Good luck. I'll be praying for you.

Druidus, On the 29th january you started a thread that caused many on here including myself to be very concerned about you. You said this.... "I can't care anymore." and this... "A few days ago, I took 29 sleeping pills. I didn't die, obviously, but I woke up feeling horrible. The day before that, I had taken 16, and the day before that, 12, and before that, 10.

In my reply to you I said this..." do you realise that taking those tablets may cause you problems days later,to your liver etc. I know you said you cant care anymore but please please Go to the Doctors "now"

I hate to say this but can't you see that these stomach problems that you are having now are most probably due to the damage caused by those tablets?

Please, GET TO THE HOSPITAL. Dont mess around waiting for Doctors apointments,go to the A and E and tell them about the tablets that you have taken a few days ago.

From what you have said on here,it seems that you were having some problems before taking the tablets, but even so it wont have helped the situation will it?

Blood in the stool can be one of many things, but you realy do need to get it checked out.

I am a nurse and I highly recommend you see a doctor now. Yes it could be cancer but it could be a lot of other things including an ulcer or acid reflux.
