homosexual Christians

I'm a Catholic and I'm not gay. I sure have a lot of sin still left in my life. If I wanted to find a religion that said that they were not sins, I guess I could find one. However, that to me would be the easy way out.

I don't judge myself any better than a gay person. We all have to just try to do the best that we can. If anyone cares to pray that I will be able to overcome my sins, please do so.

Thanks,
Joe

From my understanding this post is pretty accuate to how many hetro Christians feel about homosexuality which leads me to wonder why a homosexual would choose to follow a religion knowing many of the others of the same faith feel this way? Why not pick the runner-up for a religious choice?

Well that goes back to my first statement about how the Bible teaches to come as you are, sins and all. Jesus will make due change in your life, but only if you allow him too. God is not a pushy God but he is persistant. now I am a living testimony that I had desires for the same sex, however I knew those desires were not in line with the teachings of the bible and asked God to conform my spirit to that of the teachings of the Bible. If you really want something from God,you can have it. so if you are gay and you really want to be straight, than you can have it. It may take a while to develop your faith but, the only person waiting is God, other members of the church are only there to encourage you and help you develop your faith.

The bible teaches(Im sorry i forget which verse) that the answer to all of our prayers in line with the will of God is yes. I pray that God step in and change your life completely around. That the desires of your heart be washed into the desires of God's heart. I pray that He strengthen you and do not be afraid to call on Jesus's name in the midst of temptation. He will help you to take your mind off of the strongholds of your mind, He loves you and is with you at all times. I pray that a miracle come into your life thiss week....In the name of Jesus Christ, amen:slap:

So b/c they're homosexual that makes it right to break apart from the husband or wife they made a lifelong commitment to?
Who said it was the homosexual decision? You might consider that he or she may have been thrown out and stop making the assumption that the "leaving" is for "something better". Only one interpretation in the face of mydraid motives for this type of divorce is very close to being short-sighted or predujiced.
The breaking apart of a family? How is this God's revelation? Perhaps I would be wrong here, but usually seperation of a husband and wife is not good for a family and has adverse affects on the rest of the family regardless of how old the children are? How is everything going with that family now?
Are you talking about the millions of Christians who have divorced with out the background of homosexuality. Not including those is, again, "very close to being short-sighted or predujiced".

Sorry, I tend to jump the gun alot. I should have asked for more info in the situation before critizing it. My apologies. Though I believe there is a way to work it out Biblically.

I didn't mention them b/c I thought it was not pertinent to the conversation, but if you would like my view on that, I'd be happy to share it.
