Should we be vegetarians (according to the bible)?

In fact if someone was vegetarian, the only reason for not wanting to eat meat that I would believe/understand would be that they honestly did not care for the taste of meat. That would make sense to me.

I find it interesting that Jesus cooked fish and served it to his disciples. He also fed fish to some 5,000 people on one occassion. Check it out. John 21:9-12. and Matt 14:16-19. Jesus also ate the Passover Meal part of which consisted of the Passsover lamb that was the main course. Just food for thought. Pun intended.

When you think about it, Jesus as a child growing up to 30 did eat only what the Law said he could eat to fulfill the whole Law! That included only "clean" animals and such. However, after the Fullness of the Spirit anointing Him at the river Jordan we are not told of what He ate only what the disciples ate! There was a change. Of course we know he did eat something with the disciples as they walked along the road after His ressurection. It seemed He ate fish. He still said "I have food you know not of" I do not think or believe that it is a sin to eat flesh and grace is our portion on earth in what and how we live. My opinion is that Vegen is an ideal diet! With all the slop we are given to eat on this greedy sell you anything to consume earth we must be more vigilent as to what we eat! The old adage,"eat s**t and die" fits here I think!?
Peace

As to the morality of eating animals, as I age and see pain and sufferiing on this planet, I have a hard time justifing my lust for a steak from any animal that must lose it's life for my lust! I am not 100% vegen but I do eat fish and limited dairy products.
I do understand the sacrifices of the first testament times. Inocent blood was shed for the sins of the people pointing toward our Saviours inocent death on Calvary for "All" the sins of "All" mankind that ever lived or shall live! In the law of Moses nothing was wasted of those animals and the flesh was eaten by the preists mostly. The fat was poured on the altars not consumed by men. first Low fat diets, LOL!
Anyway, this is an individual sense of respecting all life on this planet and we don't do that! We as Christ followers need to understand more of what is here in this natural world and respect it more! Nuff said;
Grace and Peace

We were at first , but I think after the flood , after Noah made the sacrifices on the altar / look at Genesis 9 : 3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you ; even as the green herb have I given you all things. / That is when we started eating animals.
But what do I know ?
