The Soaring Soul
walking through the forest
in the middle of the night
i look up to the stars
the moon shining bright
alone in the silence
thinking about Allah
spiritual purification
the earth cleanses all
prostrating in prayer
i give thanks for life
when prayer is finished
i meditate for God's light
asking for inspiration
God speaks to me
my spirit lifted to heaven
Paradise i see
a love so pure
a love so very deep
words cannot describe
what i am feeling
God is love
so Magnificent and so High
i praise my Creator
as i drift in the sky
my spirit ascends
above the clouds and into space
my mind merges with the cosmos
such a beautiful place
Allah gives me vision
and inspires my heart
Allah speaks through my mind
as i drift by the stars
now i am lifted
into a higher realm yet
it is so beautiful and perfect
i cannot explain its depth
a world of love
pure peace flows through me
i praise Allah for this blessing
i give thanks for letting me be
those who know not love
know not Allah
the journey gets greater and greater
Praise and Glory to Allah
i begin to sing praises
to the Infinite God of love
it is so spectacular and perfect
the greatest knowledge is love
instantly transported
back to the forest
sitting in meditation
absorbing the moment
Wow what a journey!
it seems like years have gone by
but it was only a few moments
for i transcended time
Praise to Allah
what an enlightening journey!
such a humbling experience
i don't feel i am worthy
as i sit silently
and reflect upon what i witnessed
my perception changes
my spirit is lifted
i begin to rise
as high as the trees
ascending in the night sky
for miles and miles i see
everyone must do this
it is so wonderful
ask Allah to guide you
be patient and merciful
i close my eyes as i rise
i feel love penetrate
the deepest depth of my soul
Allah is Most Great!
Thank you Allah
for allowing me to be
at one with your Spirit
merged in your mercy
Praise to Allah
the Greatest of all
Allah is pure love
i love you Allah
