Clearly they must be agnostic as they have no way of telling one way or another if there is or is not a god.

But if they are 'hard' or 'soft' agnostics, I couldn't tell you. I am not a carrot myself.

Yes because ancient aliens genetically designed them like that so they wouldn't attempt to overthrow the human race (which is the result of a genetic cross between aliens and hominids I might add). Also, I hate carrot cake.

Isn't agnosticism the default position for those who lack sufficient knowledge to make a judgement call based on belief?

No.

Agnosricism is either a belief that you cant know or that you dont know or simply doubting knowledge is apossible.

All of those require not only a lack of knowledge but also ability of thought.

One can have knowledge of a thing and be able to think, and still be agnostic. For instance, if one is informed about both sides of the determinism/free will debate and understands both sides, but feels there is more to the problem than meets the eye, they could refrain from tossing their hat into the ring on either side.
