160,000 people die every day. What is their eternal destiny?

Sleeppy

Fatalist. Christian. Pacifist.
And soon enough people will understand that Jesus baptizes with hellfire too. Just as always. The chosen ones of God wandered through the desert for a very long time. Several long times, for lives lived and died therein. Then on, into the promised land - the promised kingdom. Same analogy being drawn with water baptism, and the baptism of the entire earth through Noah. We're in Jesus' Ark. So, John says to Jesus, "This is the least, compared to what you've done and can do for me, and what you will do for those during the ministering/ministry of the Spirit," knowing that the least in the kingdom is baptism with water. With water some people come out of sin, and others just the water. Jesus and the greater of the kingdom baptize with the Spirit crying, "Father." We need to minister the gospel saying, "Brother, you are a son of man, and a son of God too!" We have a lot of the least, and we need more of the greater.. We need to progress. Less sending people to jail, and less to hell. More rehabilitation and relationship building among our brothers in creation.

Between 40,000 and 150,000 people go to Hell every day. Is this relevant to you?

I see this statement as flawed. It's not a statement of fact; it's merely your opinion and I disagree with your opinion.

i think the only destiny we have in life is death itself, i think we should not be concerned with the end result, as we are unable to control our impending end we are also unable to control what happens after the end of this life, what comes after is not important but what comes in between is something to cherish, simple realization that everyone dies makes me cherish my life and everyone else as well.

There could be no eternal destiny at all, and if our destiny is eternal then there is no beginning and end at all.

Do you 'know' or believe?
A large number of people need to die every day in order for there to be enough resources to go around and to help alleviate suffering especially resulting from chronic and deteriorating physiological problems.

We have no idea if anything happens to consciousness after death, let alone what happens - I am not inclined to believe anything in particular happens; there is no 'eternal destiny' that I am aware of or that I know of any means by which we can possibly become aware of. Given I have no means by which to enquire about such a situation - while I might have a perfectly valid emotional response to either the death of a loved one or to someone else, I am not burdened by the doubts about what happens after death (I do not believe in something that I CAN doubt) nor do I feel a need to seek perfect 'justice' from some divine entity or system; I believe that justice within lives can only be achieved by us working in society.

While the most rational conclusion I can make is that without a medium capable of supporting it, our consciousness ends; the possibility remains open that it can persist in some manner which currently evades every single methodology used to attempt to verify it. I just have no reason to believe it does - let alone to be able to make any sort of claims about the nature of such an 'afterlife'.

Baha'i
What is the "destiny" of people who die? I'm not in a position to say.. It's more an issue of how far the person(s) have each progressed in this life... have they aquired virtues and have they reflected some of the attributes of God in this life is an important issue for Baha'is.

May you develop so that each one of you shall become imbued with all the virtues of the human world. May you advance in all material and spiritual degrees. May you become learned in sciences, acquire the arts and crafts, prove to be useful members of human society and assist the progress of human civilization. May you be a cause of the manifestation of divine bestowals

(Abdu'l-Baha, The Promulgation of Universal Peace, p. 91)

Death is not the end for us.. rather as Baha'u'llah has revealed:

O SON OF THE SUPREME!

I have made death a messenger of joy to thee. Wherefore dost thou grieve? I made the light to shed on thee its splendor. Why dost thou veil thyself therefrom?

(Baha'u'llah, The Arabic Hidden Words)

Heaven is nearness to God while hell is being alienated from Him.

After death the souls ascend and progress through the spiritual worlds of God eventually coming into the presence of God:

"...the soul is not within the body. It has a special relationship to the body and together they form the human being. But this relationship lasts only for the duration of mortal life. When that ceases, each returns to its origin, the body to the world of dust and the soul to the spiritual worlds of God. Having emanated from the spiritual realms to become an individual being created in the image and likeness of God, and capable of acquiring divine qualities and heavenly attributes, the soul will, after its separation from the body, progress for all eternity."

~ Adib Taherzadeh, The Revelation of Baha'u'llah v 1, p. 72

One of the more biased polls I've seen. If you're sending us to hell, at least give us the chance to shake our fist first.

Hence, I decline to vote

Eternal destiny? Eventually, one way or another, the elements contained in your body will be redistrubuted through the environment and become parts of other things. Nobody knows for sure yet, but theoretically, this will go on for quite sometime, until, at some point way in the future, all baryonic matter will have decayed, or have been sucked into black holes. These too will eventually evaporate leaving very little of anything.

But surely one's naughty bits go to hell?
