What religions and paths do you mix?

This question brought to my mind a metaphoric image of a mad scientist building his grand experiment with all his various and eclectic apparatus carefully arranged in his lab. Alchemy? Is that what syncretism is?
More like letting someone inexperienced, yet adventurous with food loose in the kitchen. :D

Absurdism, Existentialism, American Transcendentalism, Stoicism, Epicureanism, Aristotlean Ethics, Mindfulness Meditation, Loving-Kindness Meditation, Panentheism, and Secular Humanism, are some of the main paths that have shaped my views and some of the practices I do.

W00t, w00t w00t! Let's hear it for mu shu fajitas!

I'm certainly not inexperienced in the kitchen, but I'd consider myself a loose cannon and adventurous. To wit: my dalliance with a tuna strawberry protein shake. No, I did not drink it... one swig was enough for me to gag and pour it down the drain. I tend to make things up as I go along. It comes out either  or "I ain't eating this ****!" Partner will ask "what's that, what's it called?" thinking it's some Italian or other ethnic recipe. I say I don't know... why do you have to be snotty? I'm not being snotty... I'm making it up as I go along. :D

I would have to be a mixture of Islam, Classical Deism, inclusive monotheism, and some elements of Paganism perhaps

I seem to currently be mixing Confucianism, and generic panentheistic monotheism.

I've also got heavy influences from Hinduism, Sikhism, Tathāgatagarbha Buddhism (mostly, Jonang, with some Pure Land), with some slightly significant influence from Ásatrú, Shintō, and Shenism (primarily, Mazu).

I suppose I've got passive influence with Konkokyo and Tenrikyo that way, but not exactly directly, they just fit in with my views, as does Heaven Worship, Tengriism, etc.

Basically:
+ God (through panentheism)
+ Soul (like the ātman)
+ Afterlife (strangely, I don't want reincarnation at the moment, but I still think reincarnation makes sense.)
+ Spirits (genius loci)

...So I've ended up pretty much back as a seeker. :D

Right now I'm exploring Hinduism; specifically Smartha/non-sectarian with a Transtheistic leaning. I also still follow the philosophy of (and hold a special in my heart for) Buddhism.

There are a couple of Hindu temples that I will begin to attend more frequently and I'm going to visit the local Buddhist monastery as well.

I have a Christian heritage, a Christianised Vaishnava theological bent, and am influenced by religious naturalism, monotheistic panentheism, post-modernism, classical unitarianism, Christian universalism, and maybe Jesuism.

I was born to hindu parents and hence i am a hindhu .. but honestly i am not invloved into any religion untill recently i have developed curiosity and learned about christianity, islam , buddism , jainism , paganism .. i found a lot of researches claiming vaishanvism is the oldest religion .. there are proofs for mahabaratha had really been happened.. and in bhagavath geetha lord krishna says he is a supreme soul and he incarnates himself wherever sins overpowers and destroy them.. people call me by different names and worship diferently... so i am bound to think krishna is the only god and he is being worshiped in different religions in different names... according to me god is one... hindus call him as krishna... christians call him as jesus.. budhism as buddha.... god doesn have religion .. humans have created religion :)

Can you please elaborate on religious naturalism, and post-modernism for me?

When I think of religious naturalism, I immediately think of "spiritual materialism", but I don't think that's an accurate thought.

I'm inexperienced in the kitchen, and I'm not afraid to say that... :D
But I've never tried making anything like a tuna strawberry protein shake. :p

Sieved hemp powder I bought from a health store (mixed with flour), making a pizza, yes... but that didn't come out too well. :cover: I'm terrible with baking. My wife was actually beside me, showing me how to make some bread from scratch, I did everything right, and I still screwed up mine, hers came out beautiful. Gah!

I still have that hemp powder, but I have no idea what I could use to make something with. It said you could put it with many things... but it's gross. :D

a christianised vaishnava ?? whats your belief !! and what's ur reason ????

I used to be a Vaishnavi, but I do not practice anymore. I still have my Vaishnava name legally though, so it makes it kind of strange, lol.

I believe that Krishna is the same God as Jehovah, and that Jesus is the Son of God.

So if Krishna is God, and Jesus is the Son of God, what is the difference? :D

Well, to simplify, post-modernism for me is that there is not One substantial truth, but that various viewpoints and stories make a collective truth instead. So imagine a mosaic, where different pieces are individual in themselves, but when placed together create an intricate image! Post-modern thought has influenced much of everything these days.

Religious naturalism refers to the idea that ultimately spiritual ideals can be found in the natural world, in nature and in humanity, without the need for supernaturalism. Think of finding spirituality and divine substance in the natural world, without the need for unnecessary mental gymnastics, miracles, or absolute dogmatism. Like the 'Epic of Evolution'!

Certainly sounds like my significant other. I had to suffer making a fried tofu sandwich for his lunch at work... mixed with peanut butter, mayo, yellow mustard and sour cream. Bleh. He just loves peanut butter in everything!

He knows how to cook some basic things. He can do basic wraps... frozen pizza, veggie hotdogs (from the packaging), Kraft Dinner, instant noodles, and toasted bread with cheese on top!

I hope as a non-theist I'm welcome to answer this here: I have a happy mix of agnosticism, weak atheism, secular humanism, and Unitarian Universalist leanings mixed in. I say leanings, because although I've never been to a UU service, I think I'd be comfortable enough at most of them. :)
