Thanks for the explanation. Certainly, everything we have, including our very existance, comes from God and, as you said, everything is his to take away. I will give anything that he asks of me willingly.

The fact that he knows us is comforting.
Amen, to that. There's another verse...I wish I could remember...where it states that he knows every single hair on our head...:)

I so agree...knowing that our God loves us and knows us on the deepest level is truly comforting.

You know... another one of my very favorite scriptures:

Ephesians 1:18 I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. NIV

Following Christ
Bible John 3:17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
John 3:16 is probably better known since people started holding up signs at football games and such, and while some consider it the heart of Christianity, IMHO 3:17 is its soul and purpose.:162:

It's Luke 12:7 Dawny. I have a funny story, well ironic story behind that, remind me to tell you later.

Sorry, couldn't resist more than one line.....
1 Corinthians 13: 4-7
Love is patient and kind; love is not jealous or boastful;

it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;

it does not rejoice at wrong, but rejoices in the right.

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

"Who told you that you were naked?" Yeah...that needs no explanation. It's a great line.

And also the one from my signature, "Justice, justice shall you pursue."

1 Chronicles 28:3 "You will not build a houes to my name, because you are a man of warr and have spilled a lot of blood."

1 Chronicles 29:1 "Only Solomon has God chosen."

3 Nephi 11:10 "Behold, I am Jesus Christ, of whom the prophets have testified would come to the world." c.21 "I give you pwer to baptize those of this town when I have ascended to the heavens once again." v.29 "And he who has the spirit of contention isn't of me, but of the devil, who is the father of contention." v.32 "I bear testimony of the father, and the Father gives testimony of me, and the Holy Spirit bears testimony of the Father and of me."

Moroni 10:5 "and by the power of the Holy Ghost you can know the truth of all things." v.19 "And he is the same yesterday , today, and forever"
7:12 "therefore, that which is good comes from God, and that which is bad comes from the devil."

Moses 1:3 "and Endless is my name" v. 39 "For behold, this is my work and my glory, to bring about the immortality and eternal life of man." v.41 "and in the day in which the children of men devalue my words y take away many of them from the book that you [moses] are writing, behold, I will lift up another like you, and again they will exist among the children of men who believe."

"If thine eye offends thee, pluck it out."

If it's not hurting anybody, mind your own business.

Psalm 46:10 "Be still and know that I am God..."

Ecclesiastes 3:10 "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven."

These two scriptures remind me who's boss. They help me stop to realize that His knowledge and wisdom so far exceed mine that maybe I ought to just accept His will and His time schedule.

And from The Book of Mormon, this one reminds me how much I am loved:

2 Nephi 1:15 But behold, the Lord hath redeemed my soul from hell; I have beheld his glory, and I am encircled about eternally in the arms of his love.

Would it be Matthew 10:28-31?

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

Greetings, all!

Here's my favorite:

"If we are not joyous and happy in this day, for what day shall we wait, and for what time shall we seek?"

--'Abdu'l-Baha, in the Baha'i scriptures

Best, :)

Here is a few
"The Right Law is Loving Goodness, its the Best and the Highest, it is Light"
"For right acts make life most renovated as the Superior Being wishes"
"For Light comes to him, who is for the Right Law only because the Right Law is the Best and the Highest"
" Both the secular ruler, and the spiritual guide are to be chosen according to their righteousness, before the Right Law. "
"Light unto him who brings Light unto others"
"For the doctrine of the Most Wise is to love humankind. "
" The Right Law is the only path, all other paths, are no paths at all. "
" Because when all the erred have received the consequences of their erred choices , they to shall have been taught, to deliver all wrong unto the hands of the Right Law.
"Let us be counted among those who heal this life"
" For the deeds of life are done for the Most Wise and the Kingdom is for the Superior Being in which Kingdom, those appointed to rule will be the protectors of the wrongfully oppressed "
" For false deities and their followers are the products of senseless minds."
" And he, O most Wise One, who opposes the path of the wrongful and teaches him the way of the Right Law is like unto You, Benignant, to all the living. "
