What if I accepted God\Jesus?

Would it make a difference? I think I am damned to hell anyway...

Luke 12:10
Everyone who speaks a word against the son of man will be forgiven, but anyone who blasphemes against the holy spirit will not be forgiven.

Mark 3:29
Whoever blasphemes against the holy spirit can never have forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin.

Yes I have been blasphemeous. Is there any hope for me? Is the Bible wrong? Is Jesus wrong?

Interestingly enough, no one knows what blaspheming against the holy spirit really means. I've had it explained that if one accepts God, and then throws him away, that is the blasphemy they speak of. They said if you lose your consience then you've lost the holy spirit, and therefore have blasphemed... thats all i got...

10&nbsp10 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that ablasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.

How have you blasphemed against the Holy Ghost/Spirit? I believe, in my faith, that unless you've had the Gospel and the Holy Spirit and then deny it completley, then your in a bit of a jam.

But you are a Buddhist, why are you asking?

I don't believe if you have committed the unpardonable sin, that you would even care.
If you feel any desire to seek God and his grace it is the drawing of the Holy Spirit. If you feel him calling out to you, you have not gone to far. God encompasses all, no man can overextend the hand of God. Accept his forgiveness by faith and see what happens.

His grace abounds,
Denton

Mark 3:30 goes on to say, "because they said, He has an unclean spirit". If you've blasphemed against christ, then it can be forgiven you, but if you've said that christ is of the devil, and his spirit is of the devil, then you might not be able to be forgiven. The commentary in my bible says that

"It is apparently not a single act of defiant behavior, but a continued state of opposition entered into willfully. The tense of they said indicates a continued action, not a onetime event. The words and works of Christ were spoken and performed by the power of the Holy Spirit. To attribute them to Satan is to call the work of heaven a work of hell."

It's not perfectly clear, but don't give up hope. Paul committed terrible acts against the lord, yet he was saved.

I try to investigate all religions for truth, but if in the eyes of god I am damned then there isn't much point in me investigating Christianity is there?

Well, no, there wouldn't be. But I don't think you would be the best judge of whether or not there is any point in investigating it. I think that's really only something God can judge.

If you believe in Jesus and hell (and persumable heaven) why would you not want to work on accepting Jesus? I am confused as to why someone would accept these things to be true and than openly reject them.

God is love. If your son (even if you don't, for the sake of arguement) and he said some bad things about you, if he came to you and asked to be forgiven, would you not forgive him? The love God has for us is unconditional. It means no matter what. Ask him to forgive you and he will. By God's grace you are saved. Love him, love everyone else is all he really asks. ;)

You seem to already believe that you cannot be saved. Satan is the father of lies, the fact that you even considered to ask the question proves that you have some desire to be. The only way to be 'damned' is to completely walk away and reject God and continue on in that state. The moment you turn back to God your sins are forgiven you, no matter how great you think they are. You can not even have a desire to know God unless the Holy Spirit draws you. No man is given the power to judge your sin, not even you. So it is our responsibility to accept Jesus' forgiveness by faith and thank God that he has saved us. Anything or person that condemns you is not of God.

That's how I view the unpardonable sin as well.

Jesus forgives...period. If you have a desire to know him and cry out to Him, He answers. I believe in the indwelling of the Holy Spirit...when you accept Christ as your Savior, you're given the gift of the Holy Spirit...if you reject the spirt,well...you've rejected it all...you've rejected Christ...and thus, have pretty much told God to take a hike.

These are my views...

Hmm... to tell you the truth if i was an allmight god i wouldn't care if people acknowledged me at all.. demanding such worship and praise is a little below a being who built the ENTIRE universe with his words... god just cares if you are an overall good person... so all you really have to do is pick up your act unless you killed somebody, no thinking being could except that type of action as cleansible

Would it make a difference?
Maybe, myabe not... it seems to work for me.... I believe God wants us to be happy, so results may vary.
I think I am damned to hell anyway...
Ever hear of a "self-fullfilling prophecy"? :(
Yes I have been blasphemeous. Is there any hope for me?
We all sin... and there is always hope.
Is the Bible wrong?
Nope.. but sometimes the people reading it are.
Is Jesus wrong?
Never.

Immaculata pray for us,
Scott

hey jeffrey

What you have said is what i believe, but couldnt God (The Father) have done that in the first place with his own "Son" Jesus Christ (pbuh)?
God can do all things, more then crucifying himself, can't he just forgive?

Respectively, Yasin:bounce

Hey Stone,

If you were to accept, God as your Lord and Jesus Christ (pbuh) as a noble prophet of God but not God himself, you would be accepting Islam, with the condition of accepting Muhammad (pbuh) as the last prophet sent to mankind, who was prophesied by Jesus (pbuh) himself and Moses (pbuh).
