Does God forgive???

Pegg

Jehovah our God is One
Do you believe that God forgive your sins. Why and why not???

there are many examples in the Bible where God has forgiven entire nations based on their repentant attitude.

King David wrote in song : Psalms 86:5 For you, O Jehovah, are good and ready to forgive; And the loving-kindness to all those calling upon you is abundant.

Proverbs 28:13 assures us: He that is covering over his transgressions will not succeed, but he that is confessing and leaving [them] will be shown mercy

We could ask why God is so ready to forgive us, and the answer is because is aware of our limitations and imperfections.
Psalm 103:14 “He himself well knows the formation of us, remembering that we are dust,”

And God well understands just how strong sin is. The Greek Scriptures describes sin as a potent force that has man in its grip. In the book of Romans, the apostle Paul explains says that all are under sin Romans 3:9"...Jews as well as Greeks are all under sin" and that "sin ruled as king" Romans 5:21

Jehovah takes this into consideration and he freely extends forgiveness to those who show true repentance as the psalms says; Ps 51:17 The sacrifices to God are a broken spirit;
A heart broken and crushed, O God, you will not despise.

And the degree of Gods forgiveness is vast....“As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.” Psalm 103:12

So yes, he does forgive sins, he has shown it and he has stated it over and over many times in his word the Bible. He has also shown numerous examples of forgiveness upon mankind...the bible is full of those examples.

Anything done for the sake of God, or to know God, is Akarma or Vipapa, We humans are not here not to perfrom karma, we all are here to know "God" or "Reality of life" or "Truth" which is equal to Vipapa, Otherwise we humans are no more than animals. :)
Why are you changing your statements. Earlier you said that "Akarma" means no deeds, no actions. See this is your comment...
Akarma = No-deeds, or No-actions, or Sinless.

And we are here for karma. I think u know nothing about "Karma". You cannot realize god without Karma

Absurd!! That statement likens God to an indulgent parent who turns a blind eye to a child's delinquency. God forgives a truly contrite, repentant sinner regardless of the magnitude of his deed. Repentant, i.e. abstaining from sinning in future.

and it also means Vipapa too.:)
My ques with you is frist you said that Akarma means no deeds, no action (that's ok) and than u further said that Akarma means " or moving towards God through any method"(Check your comments). Than if it is actionless than how can u define a method. It is contradictory.

Whose law of justice? God's or yours? God's ways are not our ways. His mind is not ours; does man have the right to instruct God what to do? God Almighty knows our hearts and our minds. He is Just, Compassionate and Merciful, therefore He forgives.

This action takes us towards the state of actionless, For example: If somebody want to enjoy the state of tiredness, it requires a lot of hard work first :)

What type of god is that which forgives criminals. You said that god is merciful who forgives criminals. Is it really merciful?? People committed sins against other people and instead of punishing criminals god is forgiving them. Why god does not think about those people who were targeted by those sinners. This shows that by forgiving sinners god no longer remains justice loving and merciful. Such god shows discrimination and hence it cannot be god.

Another example..:)

If we want to fill any good movie in a disk, it needs action.
If we want to fill any bad movie in a disk, it also needs action.
If we want to format a disk, than also it needs action.

You should be awarded with noble prize for changing statements. Earlier you said

Moving towards God is known as Akarma,
And now you are defining it in some other way :angel2:

My God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, is not biased towards sinners. He is not insensitive to the victims of crime. He gives healing to those who bring their hurt to Him and accept His judgement as just.Jesus taught us to pray ''forgive us our sins as we forgive them that sinned against us.''

This shows that your god is responsible for crimes as it forgives criminals but why that merciful god who forgives criminal shows no mercy towards lakhs of people of world who are suffering from war, epidemics, hunger etc. I also don't think that jesus was god however this is out of this thread so I will not comment in this case.
