Alhamdulillah!
I'm getting sick and tired of TV plotlines which involve someone suffering from an illness and they'll die if they don't get their medicine or whatever. It's boring and overdone as a plotline.

I don't watch TV. We have over 100 channels of nothing to watch.
I was on the bus today and passed a motel that had a list of it's amenities.
Second from the top, right after Air Conditioning, was Soundproof.
Given I'm a musician, this would be a major bonus.
Living with a musician, I can vouch for that.
I think it kind of depends on the kind of musician. I, for one, loved falling asleep to the sound of my father practicing/rehearsing in the next room at night. Then again, my father is a pianist/keyboardist. It's a bit different than listening to someone playing drums all night or even guitar.
Classical guitar, and particularly a good classical guitarist, can sound beautiful.
The more I think about it, the more I feel my life doesn't matter and that I'll never do anything of any real worth for the world or for anyone for that matter.
What matters is that you do things of worth for yourself. As long as you matter to yourself then that is what is important.
Problem is that I really don't rate myself highly and the more I think about it the more I hate myself and consider myself to be a terrible, horrible human being and anything I've done to be useless. Particularly as it seems that no matter how hard I try, someone out there will do it better than me, or do more.
I'm still alive. Just letting y'all know.
Why compare yourself to others at all? Besides, you probably overestimate others and underestimate yourself. Don't rate at all. Just live to make yourself happy. Often it makes one happy to make others happy and such simple things can do that. Don't hate yourself. Don't beat yourself up.
To quote Ru Paul..."If you can't love yourself, how the hell you gonna love anybody else?"
