Christianity and Anarchy

OKAY, i know this is going to raise many an eyebrow... but I thought this was an interesting thought.

Christians are told in the Bible that if they are attacked, not to counter it. They are also told by Yeshua that they are free from the laws of the old testament. Yeshua freed them from law, sin, and death by dying on the cross. Therefore, I think that Christians should not hold positions in Government, because they should be anarchists. Christians should follow the examples of Yeshua, and live as he did. If they would, there would be no need for jailing systems, guns, or government. If we are not to judge others, as commanded by Yeshua, then how can we imprision anyone, or send them to death? Isn't God the ultimate judge on that one? If we did not charge anyone with crime (on the basis that everyone has the potential to commit the same crime) and they were allowed to roam the streets, they could kill people, but they can't kill everyone. Being Christian implys that we shouldnt defend outselves, be in positions of power, or judge anyone... Christians should be Anarchists.

i would word it rather like .....christians are no part of the world. Jesus in prayer to his father Jehovah, said this about his followers

"They are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world."—JOHN 17:16

Notice what the book On the Road to Civilization—A World History says of the early Christians: "Christians refused to share certain duties of Roman citizens. The Christians . . . felt it a violation of their faith to enter military service. They would not hold political office. They would not worship the emperor." When the Jewish high court "positively ordered" the disciples to stop preaching, they answered: "We must obey God as ruler rather than men."—Acts 5:27-29.

Christianity is not what it used to be. Christianity's current values seem to be to support "traditional values" and national power.

yes i agree, but that is false christianity. but true christianity is out there , on the narrow road, not the broad one.
narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it ..matthew 7;14

(Acts 14:22) strengthening the souls of the disciples, encouraging them to remain in the faith and [saying]: "We must enter into the kingdom of God through many tribulations."

(1 Peter 4:18) "And if the righteous [man] is being saved with difficulty, where will the ungodly [man] and the sinner make a showing?
