the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared." That is my favorite {to date} Buddha quote.

If you have other Buddha quotes, please add them to this post, I would be interested in read those.

I heard somebody say "Everything a person needs already exists, somewhere..."
The object is to find it. Some people already have it and if they were able and willing to share it with others then everybody would have what they need.

Another way we can relieve human suffering in others is to share what we have in abundance, clothing the naked and feeding the hungry.

"For I was an hungered and ye gave me meat, I was thirsty and ye gave me drink, I was a stranger and ye took me in, naked and ye clothed me, I was sick and ye visited me..."
Matthew 25:35-40 {in bible}

We can provide our companionship or listening ear and caring heart and supportive hand to thoae that are emotionally starving, heartsick or lonely.
Mother Theresa said "Lonliness is the greatest poverty."

We can help others to help themselves by providing what they need like seed that they plant and harvest. They harvest the plant with the seed. Then they have their own seed to plant again.

I would like to share another quote
"For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh but they that are after the Spirit, {do mind} the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death but to be spiritually minded is life and peace."
Romans 8:5-6 {in bible}

I think of the Karma effect in this quote
