In the Christian religion that already happen to Jesus. Two trials would be double jepordyFaint said:Imagine that God actually existed. Then imagine that he decided to make himself human. Would you support legal action to sentence God to the death penalty for the countless human lives he has destroyed over the years?
Not really Rob.robtex said:In the Christian religion that already happen to Jesus. Two trials would be double jepordy
So since man kills and God apparently (for the sake fo arguement) made us this way, is it okay to kill him? I mean--we're just acting the way he made us act right?jgallandt said:Hmmm... The problem being, God does not kill. Man kills. God is love. Without God, you would have no life to begin with.
Support legal action against an omnipotent God...I don't think so. Way too risky. :jester5:Faint said:Imagine that God actually existed. Then imagine that he decided to make himself human. People with your attitude is what killed Jesus Christ. People have been trying to kill God for a long time. This is nothing new. You can kill God's spirit in yourself, but not in me.Faint said:So since man kills and God apparently (for the sake fo arguement) made us this way, is it okay to kill him? For the sake of argument he made us this way, but he actually didn't make us this way at all. So for the sake of argument I don't see why not, but in actuallity, of course we couldn't put him on trial. (Well, we could, but it would be for a crime he didn't commit, and, as jonny said, that's just way to risky to put an omnipotent being on trial for something he didn't do.)Faint said:So since man kills and God apparently (for the sake fo arguement) made us this way, is it okay to kill him? COOL:clapcardero said:Lets round up all the inspiritors and get them on accomplice to murder and slander of character.
Yeah, especially since there's absolutely no way some corrupt lawyer would be able to trick God into thinking we're better than we really are.jgallandt said:I think it's going to be much more interesting when God puts us on trial.
What about the old testament were he destoried or killed everyone that was not on the ark? What about Sodom and Gomorrah? I guess he did not kill any of those people, he just loved them to death.jgallandt said:Hmmm... The problem being, God does not kill. Man kills. God is love. It all depends, are you one of them?Faint said:Imagine that God actually existed. Then imagine that he decided to make himself human. Would you support legal action to sentence God to the death penalty for the countless human lives he has destroyed over the years?
No; God gave man the ability to either be good, or to be evil. Weak as he is (because man is only human), man has the option to kill, because some are weak, they will kill.Faint said:So since man kills and God apparently (for the sake fo arguement) made us this way, is it okay to kill him? Different case. Jesus came and no body knew he was God, when he was trialed.robtex said:In the Christian religion that already happen to Jesus. Two trials would be double jepordy
Relax, Johny, when God reincarnate himself as a man, he is no longer omnipotent, just like Jesus case, no risk at all. However, we have to worry the revenge he is going to take when he resurrects himself.jonny said:Support legal action against an omnipotent God...I don't think so. Way too risky. :jester5:
Actually, it was Satan who "made" us that way...Faint said:So since man kills and God apparently (for the sake fo arguement) made us this way, is it okay to kill him? I mean--we're just acting the way he made us act right?
