God on trial... . .. . . .

Imagine that God actually existed. Then imagine that he decided to make himself human. Would you support legal action to sentence God to the death penalty for the countless human lives he has destroyed over the years?

Hmmm... The problem being, God does not kill. Man kills. God is love. Without God, you would have no life to begin with. :)

So since man kills and God apparently (for the sake fo arguement) made us this way, is it okay to kill him? I mean--we're just acting the way he made us act right?

Why not. The Gods we have been provided with to date have not exactly done a stellar job. I say roast him.

Support legal action against an omnipotent God...I don't think so. Way too risky. :jester5:

People with your attitude is what killed Jesus Christ. :D People have been trying to kill God for a long time. This is nothing new. You can kill God's spirit in yourself, but not in me.

For the sake of argument he made us this way, but he actually didn't make us this way at all. So for the sake of argument I don't see why not, but in actuallity, of course we couldn't put him on trial. (Well, we could, but it would be for a crime he didn't commit, and, as jonny said, that's just way to risky to put an omnipotent being on trial for something he didn't do.)

 God does exsist so we'll start there. He did come to earth as man but imagine what His crime was to SAVE the world from eternal damnation...I'd have to say with a good lawyer He's got a real chance of beating the rap in today's society:banghead3 ...So we that support Him will all pull our money together and get him the best lawyer...Gabriel sounds good. He has a lot of those there angels to call as defense witnesses...then in round 2 we'll call all the Christians who are willing to state for a fact God is the good guy here in this whole monkey court...oK???!!!

Let’s round up all the “inspiritors” and get them on accomplice to murder and slander of character.

Yeah, especially since there's absolutely no way some corrupt lawyer would be able to trick God into thinking we're better than we really are.

What about the old testament were he destoried or killed everyone that was not on the ark? What about Sodom and Gomorrah? I guess he did not kill any of those people, he just loved them to death.

No; God gave man the ability to either be good, or to be evil. Weak as he is (because man is only human), man has the option to kill, because some are weak, they will kill.

God also gave us the ability to be good, and to spread Love; why on Earth would anyone want to kill God ?

For all of you who say "because of the murders committed in his name".........it would be the human, who misunderstood his duty.;)

Different case. Jesus came and no body knew he was God, when he was trialed.

The scenorio proposed is that God gave up his omnipotent, omniscience, and all other omni abilities He has, re-incarnate Himself as a helpless man, and let the human race judge him. He might engage the Pope as a defence lawyer, but we have to find a neutral Judge and prosecutor for that purpose. I do not suppose Faint wanted to be Judge/Prosecutor/Jury all in one to himself? :D

Relax, Johny, when God reincarnate himself as a man, he is no longer omnipotent, just like Jesus case, no risk at all. However, we have to worry the revenge he is going to take when he resurrects himself.:D

Actually, it was Satan who "made" us that way...
