Hey there. Warning: I have the tendency to write novels...:D

Faith isn't easy. And we all go through periods of paranoia, distrust and worry. This is part of the human condition. But you really can overcome these things with the help of Jesus Christ. I can attest on a very personal level that depression and anxiety can be overcome via spiritual healing. Been there...received that.:D

Someone sent me an e-mail recently that stated that the definition of Faith is "the ability not to panic." And that really rings true to me. And according to my Pastor...the definition of FEAR is...False Evidence Appearing Real. I liked that one too. And it can be overcome.

Jesus wants us to cast all our cares to him...large and small. He carried it all with him on the cross...so whether you're having a trivial issue or you're really going through something enormous...it's HIS burden to carry...not your own...and if you cast it to him...he'll take care of it. He really will. When I'm dealing with something that is suffocating...or if I'm on the brink of a panic attack over anything really...whether it's freaking out over making a mistake in the checkbook or having trouble trusting that God really is taking care of something in my life...I talk to him about it. I tell him..."Father...I can't do this. I really need you and I'm not trusting you the way I need to and I need you to show me how to give this to you. I need for you to teach me to trust." And He's never let me down. The answers or solutions may not be immediate...but HE always comes through. And the peace that He gives surpasses all...

So, give it a whirl...if you feel like you're on the brink of panic mode...talk to HIM...humble yourself and let HIM know that you really need him to pull you through. And HE will.

These are some verses that give me comfort and peace when I'm struggling...I'm partial to the New Kings James Version of the Bible...so that's where these are from...

""Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink: nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? " Matthew 6:25

"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble." Matthew 6:33-34

"Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also: and greater works than these he will do, because I go to my Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in my name, I will do it." John 14:12-14

Psalm 61 and 62 are beautiful...

In Psalm 62:8...

"Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us."

And...just getting into the Bible really helps when you're dealing with worry and distrust...if you ask Him to show you where you need to go...HE really will. And also, it never hurts to ask someone to pray with you. There's awesome power in prayer.

Warm wishes.

Welcome Co,
I have a book about jesus studying and teaching amongst the buddhists ,during the so called "missing years" . There are supposed to be texts in the a few of the Buddhist monestaries wich discuss Jesus and his travels during this time . They reffered to him as Saint Issa. I own a book on this subject , unfortunatley I just moved into a new house and I am not quite sure where it is.When I find it I will be happy to post the title and author for you.I also believe there is more information about Jesus during his childhood and also during his " missing years" in the Apocrypha.Wich I have not read yet . Welcome again.
