Questions you can't answer

People ask all sorts of questions about life and its nature, and sometimes we come across one that we just can't answer or believe that we just can't know. What are some of the questions of life you regard as eternal mysteries? Things that lie beyond the scope of your (or humanity's) knowledge?

One of the questions I just can't and won't answer is the "ultimate" origin of everything. I think that answer is probably beyond our abilities, nor is the answer particularly relevant to everyday life.

Feel free to make some of these silly too, guys. :D

I tend to daydream and loosely think about all the 'questions' that cant even be asked in the first place.

What is the ultimate question of life is mine.

Too bad we don't have a machine to figure it out for us.

Why does life only exist on Earth and what is its purpose apart from what it does?

Yes I know but it's still something that mystifies me and as a human, I need a reason for everything even for that, that can be explained.

How do you know that life only exists on Earth and why do you think there's a purpose to it?

As for me, I don't think we can ever know what happens after death. I think most everything else will be able to be answered at some point, but I don't think that one will be. You have to die to figure that one out.

I mean why has the species evolved dreaming? What WAS it good for?

When people fall asleep such as learning a new repetitive skill, there is a phenomenon of seeing that bit repeat in their head over and over again. The last time I recall it was when I started playing minecraft and was mining a lot for stone. It's a way for the brain to process or defragment information or emotions in a 'down' time. As well it can also be a place where the imagination just goes wild.

I would say that it has to do with how the mind processes new or unresolved data or emotions, or just one's subconscious desires and thoughts. Or it can be something induced by real life that has no meaning at all. I've also heard research that discovered that our dreaming mind is closer to the more primitive parts of our minds that relate to the world differently and can be complex analogies for things in our life or things that we are thinking. Basically it's an old, old OLD part of our mind that is more active when we are asleep or falling asleep. Though it can create complex thoughts obviously, the part of the brain mostly processing all of that is rather ancient and so thinks differently... or something.

I'll have to look in my internet history and see if I can find the link, though it was mostly about hallucinations you get falling asleep or waking up induced by your mind gearing into or out of dreaming states in REMs.

why life at all?

Why dying and not inmortality?

Why all this strange laws like gravity and stuff exist? It's just weird!

Why have evolution granted us with the capicity of thinking about this apparently useless and depressing questions? :)

How the Hell does Keith Richards keep living?

Why do hot dogs come in tens, and buns come in eights?

Why is my head getting bald, but my butt looks like the top of Jimmy Walker's head?

Where the hell are all these women willing to have sex on the internet? Why aren't they in my neighbourhood?

Where did I leave that sandwich?
