If all of us stopped procreating will the Day of Judgement be upon us?

If all 7 billion human beings on earth stopped procreating now and assuming the maximum lifespan of any presently living human being is 100 years, then in 100 years time, we should have the Day of Judgement/Resurrection right? I mean, there are going to be no more humans after 100 years, so God need not wait for anything. He may as well bring about the Day of Judgement, eternal heaven and eternal hellfire and all the other stuff at that time itself.

What does RF think?

Don't worry, the moment someone die the day of judgment is brought to him simultaneously, with respect the dead's reference time run so fast that the different between two distant events in reality are almost indistinguishable. I heard it from some Islamic scholars, I'm not really sure about it.

Respectfully my brother either way will not be very different to us. If judgement was imediate or after thousands of years, when we awaken from our rest it will have seemed like seconds to us.

I think this day of judgement is total hogwash
I think 7 billion people are never going to stop pro-creating so this thread is hogwash. :p

For what you think - "7 billion people are never going to stop pro-creating so this thread is hogwash" - to be true now and at any future point in time, day of judgement can never happen, now or 100 years down the line or 100000 years down the line.

For people to continue procreating, there should not be an end-state for the universe or day of judgement. Is that your position?

If yes, we are in agreement. :D

Is not the day of judgement going to be common for all of us?

I think the "Day of Judgement" is already upon us... so we are being judged now or have been judged for awhile already... What this means in my opinion is that we are on the line to do the right thing and support other human beings ...reduce the likelihood of war and starvation... learn how to use our resources the best way we can and stop exploiting others.

If everyone stopped procreating, then we wouldn't need judgment. People would eventually die out. But I just can't imagine people stopping procreating.

You are just rephrasing my statement :ignore:.

Well, according to them it is something relative in terms your perception of events. This is because of what so-called a grave punishment which follows death and just prior to the day of judgment. For those who fall under this, time runs very slow, that close events in reality are very distant, they say this is to make them suffer more. However, if there is no punishment then there will no perception of events and it will seem like seconds. But, finally it should common to everyone.

Check the link for the punishment of grave:

I think it is like a closed loop, because the day of judgment is going to come whether people stop procreating or not. In the end time scenario the humanity should be brought into extinction by catastrophic events. So again either way you should have the same conclusion :D.

I think most of humanity would not make that bet :p.
