Why Darwinism matters

This article is just a general look at evolutionary psychology, which is still an area of study that is hotly debated in scientific circles and seen by some as being pseudoscience. What point are you trying to make?

I believe the point is that evolution and God (the christian god) are contradictory. Though, I would suggest the article falls short of proving such.

First sentence on that page :

Pseudoscience.

No reason to read the rest. You know that they lie about everything.

I have a friend said the evolution is wrong, because every time he reads a book he finds them referring to it as the theory of evolution. So, it is is just a theory, no need to read the rest !!><.

So, did you set him straight?

Does your friend feel the same about the Theory of Gravity, Circuit Theory, Atomic Theory and Germ Theory?

Tried to read it, got bored. Does she ever get around to making a point or is it just a disorganized list of quotes, ideas and events she finds troubling from start to finish?

I think I need to set myself first.
Then here's the scoop. Evolution is a fact. As much a fact as the existence of atoms, gravity, and germs. Where the theory part enters the picture is in explaining how evolution works, just as atomic theory explains how atoms work, and the theory of gravity attempts to explain how gravity works.

Another point worth noting is that the term "Darwinism" has become a pejorative label for evolution. While Darwin was extremely important to evolution, the theories that explain it have gone far beyond Darwin's understanding of its operation. So, to call evolution "Darwinism" is ignore all the advances made in the field of evolution and suggests evolution is stuck in the 19th century. It's a rather childish practice, but one creationists delight in using, much like many of the other facts they purposely ignore in order to make their case. The cartoon here isn't far off the mark.

What's with this "Darwinism" thing? I don't hear genetics described as "Mendelism" or astronomy as "Copernicanism."
I smell a political agenda.....

Okay, calm down I'm not closing my ears :D, but I tend to read first before accepting anything. I'm very slow, but this how things work for me ;)

Sorry for the confusion, but I wasn't talking about you, but about the active promoters of creationism. Those who use the media to present their case.
