Would you be able to except a Machine God?

Would you be able to except a machine as God ? Especially if we were in a simulation/advance computer program ? What thoughts would you have and how would this effect your life?

Some transhumanists want such to become reality,

Singularitarianism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As for me, I don't really know. If God was "a machine" it wouldn't resemble anything humans have invented. I'd be somewhat disappointed but relieved if life a simulation. Disappointed in that, in a sense, I (or anyone/anything) would not be real. But then, I would be happy that something gave all living beings amazing AI's, as opposed to the AI in a video game :p Although, I find the idea of life being a sim. highly unlikely because if God were a "machine" He wouldn't be like an ordinary computer or other type of device.

I dont know....other than a complex simulation.splarnest I have no clue.what other form can a machine take ? Supposedly a intellgent machine could gain knowledge over time right so do you think such a machine could leave normal space or something or be in a since like issac assomaves hyper space computer from that one story.

I think first we would have to establish what is meant by a "Machine" god. Something constructed by another civilization, or something off the wall like a silicon based entity?

You mean like Deus Ex Machina from Matrix Revolutions? Yeah, I could accept that. I've actually seen something like that on high doses of DXM and Ketamine. It's quite amazing.

anyway the Uncreated creator I buy into. Aristotle's prime cause.

no. but i think cell phones are becoming more popular than Jesus.

I'm just saying, it looks like people are desperately praying when texting.

What has always troubled me was when Einstein said to the effect that even god lives under the laws which govern the universe ...the universal laws of physics...

Do any religious people accept this fact?
Can they accept it?

Can there be a creator who defies these laws?

If god created earth and the universe, did he come from another universe where our laws don't apply? EG: can he just "think" us into being?
Or does he still need technical expertise? if so, where did he learn these skills...

Another thing Einstein said is:
A problem cannot be solved from the same level of consciousness which created it...

Not that Einstein is correct ...he's just a man..
But this explains why we can never know many of the answers ... never!
Until we evolve to a point where we are equals with god.

sorry to all if I'm preaching to the converted ...hehe
cheers ...Jim
