I have no idea what millenarism is.
As the topic is second comings I'm going to guess that is what it is, if so then yes.
Jesus is going to come at the end of the rule of the beast.

Millenarism is the belief that the Messiah will come and install his universal kingdom on Earth and reign for a thousand years before the end of the world.

Um, well, we have a first coming, yeah. I don't think the world ends after a millenium...then again, perhaps it does, I mean, one of the descriptions involves sitting beneath our vines and fig trees until the end of days. Hmm. I really should know this, although to be honest, I don't generally concern myself with the various afterlife aspects of my religion.

As far as the millennium goes, we tend to agree with Augustine and, derivatively, with the amillennialists. The Catholic position has thus historically been "amillennial" (as has been the majority Christian position in general, including that of the Protestant Reformers), though Catholics do not typically use this term. The Church has rejected the premillennial position, sometimes called "millenarianism" (see the Catechism of the Catholic Church 676). In the 1940s the Holy Office judged that premillennialism "cannot safely be taught," though the Church has not dogmatically defined this issue.
With respect to the rapture, Catholics certainly believe that the event of our gathering together to be with Christ will take place, though they do not generally use the word "rapture" to refer to this event (somewhat ironically, since the term "rapture" is derived from the text of the Latin Vulgate of 1 Thess. 4:17"we will be caught up," [Latin: rapiemur]).
Many spend much time looking for signs in the heavens and in the headlines. This is especially true of premillennialists, who anxiously await the tribulation because it will inaugurate the rapture and millennium.
A more balanced perspective is given by Peter, who writes, "But do not ignore this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slow about his promise as some count slowness, but is forbearing toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. . . . Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of persons ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be kindled and dissolved, and the elements will melt with fire! But according to his promise we wait for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. Therefore, beloved, since you wait for these, be zealous to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace" (2 Pet. 3:814).

The second coming is in process today, but almost no one expecting it in this time, on this way.
Maitreya, though different religius expecting him under different names: Imam Mahdi, fifth Buddha, Christ, Messiah, Krishna, came in London in 1977, and from that time has been preparing humanity for his open mission to teach humanity: right relationship, importance of sharing world resources, realization of human true divine nature etc. Maitreya is not a religious leader, but a teacher for all humanity.
He say in one of his messages: »Look for Me then as your Brother and Friend. Seek Me in the midst of your brothers. Know Me for My Love. Recognise Me by My work. See in Me the God you are.«

Millenarism was not taught by the apostles or anyone else in the early Church. It's a concept that developed in the 19th century by someone who formed his own distorted interpretation of scripture. This position teaches essentially that there will be 2 more "second comings"!
The first, of course was the birth of Jesus on earth. The traditional second coming will happen when Jesus comes back to earth just he left it - coming on a cloud. He will come for the general judgement and separate the lambs from the goats.
There will not be another coming between the first and the last coming which millenarism teaches. It teaches that Jesus will come to "rapture" His followers before the millenium begins so they will not have to endure the tribulations to come in that millenium. That would make Jesus coming 3 times!
Jesus will come back only 1 more time!

well, I don't know about the 'end of the world' although the Maya and other meso-american cultures did have predictions of the end of this cycle of the world and the begining of the next. (somewhere around 2012-ish)

These things have come to pass. The Miller movement accuretly predicted 1844 for the Advent of the "Return" of the Messiah Figure Who, fulfilling Daniel's 2300 days(years) prophecy is proven to be true by airtight logic from numerous sources. Furthermore, this date of 1844AD corresponds to 1260 AH, foretold both by Daniel and in the Book of Revelations, which also conforms to the 42 months (30 x 42 = 1260, SAME applies to 3 1/2 days prophecy and time, times and a half Each signifies a day as a year, 360 3.5 times 360 is 1260, which is 1260 after the Hijara of Muhammad, the completion of the Prophetic Cycle of the Quran.
