Fountain of Youth.

If science announced tomorrow that they have discovered a 'Fountain of youth pill' that would stop the aging process as long as you took it everyday, would you take it? You wouldn't get younger, but you would stop the aging process.

Myself, I think I would, at least for awhile. I'd have more time with my family. Being 49, age is creeping up on me.

It would be a temptation until you found out the side effects included death.

No. I'm old enough to be paying the consequences of youthful recklessness. My pain may increase even more as I get older, but at least I know it will end eventually. Staying where I am in this condition is not someplace I want to stay indefinitely :sarcastic

It's depressing to even think about it. If you took the pill, you'd probably have to swear never to have children. Otherwise, there'd be an exponential increase in population unparalleled in history... and we'd all end up dead, anyway.

Even if you did get to live forever, I probably would not choose to. It's the kind of thing I would sit down and think about every night for a couple of years, but in the end, I think I would like to see just what death holds. Maybe I'll even prove myself wrong in that regard... ;)
