That was a rebuttle?Matt10:34 said:Oh ok. Sorry for the rebuttle then.
Your right it's not. And it's just not in the area of evolution...painted wolf said:Victor you give you'r poor Professor a big issue.... Does he take all class (or possibly eaven several) to explain in detail all the steps allong the evolution of the eye. From the first light sensitive cells to the complexities of not only our humble eyes but the grandiose eyes of say the Mantis shrimp.
He has only so long to cover each subject, due to the regulations that say he must cover X number of subjects before you can move on to the next level.
sadly Evolution isn't often covered well in the educational system.

I was fictional Sunstone. My only point was that similar answers were given to me in college. But I already know the educational system is not the best. But I did think to myself "this is the science before which all knees must bend?" These explanations are no better than "Just-So stories" that atheist turn blue in the face about. The term "it was selected for" stuck with me and it sounds similar to "God did it".Sunstone said:Victor, isn't your fictional professor a strawman? If any real professor was as superficial about evolution, he would be deemed incompetent, rather than representative of others on the topic.
Science is all about just-so stories. It's also about explaining why things are just-so. You seem to have missed a bit of your education in that area. But I did think to myself "this is the science before which all knees must bend?"
