I believe the acre was original a plot of land measuring 60 rods by 60 rods. Or it might have been 64 rods square.

I haven't a clue what you are talking about, but it sounds good, so I guess you'll get a prize for effort! - I must admit I remember something about rods, poles and perches........:help:

Lol I don't get it :). If another country ruled Russia then that would make Russia a sort of vassal of that other country but I thought that Russia had always been in control of itself since it had been unified.

Didn't the Mongols take over a lot of the world at one time? My guess is Mongolia.

Anyone who actually knows anything about history can quit laughing at me NOW! :149:

The Czars ruled Russia.

Russia is named Russia because of the Norsemen who travelled down the main rivers and conquered the territory bringing it under a loose confederation. The name of the tribe of Norsemen (Vikings) was "the Rus". Hence we get the word "Russia", the land of the Rus.
The Rus were the people the main character of Michael Crichton's "Eaters of the Dead" met and travelled back to Scandinavia with.

The Soviet Union ruled Russia. BUT, mother Russia never left. At it's height, the communist party comprised only about %5 of the Soviet citizens. Go figure!

Of course, giving me coinage is somewhat counterproductive. :D

Ah, true indeed. Well, if it wasn't the Russians, it must have been Red Indians, on account of them being Reds.

The russians are mainly East Slavics, but with others thown into the mix, their ethic origins remain contensious. The question makes no sense really. The only country that ruled the Russians is Russia.

The answer I was given was Denmark; having looked everywhere on the internet, I can find no connection...maybe if someone can find it, 2000 coins ?:D (sorry guys, these questions were provided to me) I'm dying to know where they came from......
Well, if someone feels like finding a link................

Christian is mentioned only 3 times.

Acts 11: 26
And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

Acts 26: 28
Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.

1 Peter 4:16
Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God this behalf.
