Why are you offended?

That means what? That the "N" word is completely acceptable, because blacks shouldn't be so sensitive? It seems to me that it is best to treat all people as "equals" instead of trying to dehumanize them under the guise of "free speech".
It means that usage of the "N" word is perfectly acceptable by blacks amongst and toward some blacks - to use your example.

The hammer always looks for a nail and screws up the job when it thinks a screw is a nail because it looks the same. The screwdriver almost never tries to put itself into the head of a nail. Now, the screwdriver can be turned around and the handle used to drive tacks and some brads but it knows that it can't readily build a wood frame house and is going to be worse for the wear on the handle.

To paraphrase a credit card company, "What's in your tool belt?"

I used to get annoyed when people would "inform" me that I am really worshiping Satan, I am communicating with demons, I am possesed by demons and that is the only way magick can be accomplished, all magick is demonic, the pentagram is a Satanic symbol, and all the other typical misconceptions Wiccans and some other Pagans hear over and over. I eventually got used to it, and I know respond to thier ignorance by saying "Then so be it." and moving on.
Allthough this really didn't offend me, but it did confuse me, one guy asked me if I was Muslim because of the pentagram I wore. He then said how the Muslims created the Pentagram to ward off demons. I'm still wondering where he heard that from.

I get it: it's not the Bigot's fault that the oppressed are so dang sensitive. They should lighten up and learn to laugh with their derision.

Blacks use the "N" word as an expression of freedom from their repression. It is NEVER acceptable for whites to call blacks the "N" word, just as it is not acceptable for athiests to demean Christians for their beliefs (or vice versa). Hopefully you can discern the issues here.

Gee wizz! One minute, I think you're getting it because it seems to echo, in your own vernacular, what I said, and in the next I think you lost it. I sure wish I could follow what you're really thinking.

It's quite simple: No human is better than another human. This is regardless of their beliefs, their origin (race or country), or their sexual inclination. People who set themselves as "superior" (ie bigots, thieves, rapists and the like) need to come down a notch or more!

Then there are the really scary people who don't think they're better. They just don't care about others.

I used to get offended but I don't anymore. All we can do is take Jesus' advice to preach the word as a witness to the nations. He never said that everyone would be converted. When someone refuses to listen or wants to argue, shake the dust off your feet, and move on. God doesn't need us to defend his Word. As Jesus said at Luke 19:40, "I tell you if these remained silent, the stones would cry out."

They don't seem to even care about themselves either. I fully agree: they scare me too!
