And all those Republican women being just too stupid to know better. That truly is cause for partisan laughter!

I liked Fareed Zakharia's take - once the Republican base gets done alienating all of the different groups they've taken on this time, the only votes they have left are angry white males. That's not enough to win the Presidency.

Is it possible that there is no "war on women" by angry white males, & that the Pubs' agenda could
simply be an expression of a shared religious foundation, one which involves both genders & races?
(There are only 2 races, you know.)

Nah ... what fun would that be. It's far more likely that the Republicans are evil and Republican women are stupid.

I think if the Republicans continue their efforts to radically control women's reproductive choices, they will hand quite a few votes to the Democrats -- perhaps enough votes to change the outcome of some important elections. And one of those elections might well be the presidency.

If you say that openly, they might hear you & act upon it.
You could very well be responsible for President Mitt winning office!

I dunno. I think giving voice to this sort of view on such a public platform can also have the effect of making it mainstream, or at the very least, reinforcing such views. When people see other people believe stuff that stuff becomes more acceptable. Also, when people see that the party they affiliate with believes certain stuff, they too might become more susceptible to believing such stuff, ie "I share all those other values with this group of people, so maybe I actually share this value as well."
