Frank Zappa was a great human being. His main message to the world was that 'normal' is a myth, and that 'socialisation' is about internalising that myth. He was advocating tolerance and diversity.

He was also an extraordinarily gifted musician. I saw his band twice when they toured Australia. The degree of discipline and skill was awe-inspiring. His bands rehearsed at leasr 4 hours every day while on tour as well as performing the show.

So if it's OK for a christian to be a fan of a humanistic, intelligent, tolerant, hardworking and gifted person, then yeah.

The reason I asked was because of he put out some songs with questionable subject matter like "Brown Shoes Don't Make It", "Magdalena", "Bobby Brown Goes Down", and "The Crab Grass Baby". But since he was a Comedy Musican and these were Comedy songs does that mean that he wasn't condoning anything bad in those songs?

Whether it's ok for a Christian to listen to Zappa is up to the individual and whether they feel comfortable with some of the subject matter.

Frank Zappa was pretty outspoken against organized religion and god. But if that doesnt offend you, he was an outstanding musician and composer, and completely self-taught, at that.

I've been accused about being outspoken or against organized religion.
But most so-called 'organized religion' is really not organized.
Some people see the inhumanity to man and blame God.

Since Jesus ransom covers MANY [Mt 28v20] Frank could be resurrected on earth during Jesus 1000-year reign over earth. Then fake so-called organized religion will no longer exist, and Frank can learn what Jesus really taught.

What ever happened with those nasties on the White House lawn and
