There is no atheism

If there cannot be a reason for our emotions, the time, the land(i.e. matter) then what is the cause of their existence? I bet any one atheist to dare try and give valid reason for his very existence in this universe. Only religion has a answer to this.

The only "reason" for our existence that you would accept is one credited to your "god" (the Buddha). The "reason" for anything is the cause and effect, natural selection process that led to it. It is always the result of cause.

In science, we have to be careful with words. We cannot afford to "play around with them loosly" in order to deceive ourselves into believing any of the different religious dogma.

The only function religions serve is to give people a sense of "purpose" which, actually exists only in the form of a goal, something all religions provide. We create religions to serve that function for us.

My "religiou" goal is using science to understand ourselves and our universe so we can continue the growth of the human cultural heritage. Myself, I look foreward to a new civilization which will replace our present one.

@charles brough....huh!"...yu might account for the word science and make such statements like describing it . But hey who can really attempt at explaining the urge inside yu when yu actually wanted to explain the given !!!! Better ponder over it !!!

I don't think you understand what atheist means and therefore don't understand what There is no atheism means.

Me Myself

@all atheists-
I have heard this story somewhere. It goes like this-
Once a master asks all students in a class-"does darkness exist?"
All kids are thinking.

A student answers-"no master, darkness does not exist. It is just absence of light."
The master is happy with the student's answer.

He asks-"does evil exist?"
Again everyone start pondering.
The same student again answers-"no master, evil does not exist. It is just the absence of God."
The master is impressed.

He asks a last question-"does atheism exist?"
Again all are scratching their heads.
But the bright kid again steals the show-"no master, atheism does not exist. It is just the absence of religion."

I find it so ironic that you have "buddhist" as part of your description.

Buddhism is generaly an agnostic/atheist religion.

Assuming what you said is 100% true (which is debatable at best), that still doesn't prove that there's no antheism.
Beyond that fact, why do you suppose there is no reason for the things you list?
Many reasons for things have been shown to be true that have nothing to do with religion.

I am confused. Do you challenge atheists to give a valid reason for existing or do you use that question to prove that atheism doesnt exist (considering the title of this thread)?

As for the challenge... I exist because my parents love each other and decided to have a baby .

I exist because my parents mated.

NEXT (((CONTENT REDACTED))) QUESTION?

Only religion has a answer to this.

But which religion? If you mean "religion-as-a-whole" it actually does not have one answer to your question. It has as many answers as there are religions.

I've always said, "I don't believe in atheists."

And yet there is so much evidence that supports their existence. Is it because there aren't enough transitional forms to suit you?

My reason being if you truly did not believe you would not even feel the need to rail against something.

That must explain (at least in part) why capitalists who openly proclaimed that they didn't believe communism was a workable system have spent almost zero time, effort, or money in opposing it, right?

...

Although I support a person's right to believe whatever silliness they want to believe in, I do feel obliged to stand against them when they let their silly beliefs inform their actions. Your right to swing your theological fist ends at the tip of my skeptical nose.
