the first day of Rosh Hashanna is the day that no man knoweth, a clue

Rosh Hashanna should occur on the first of the month but until calenders were made, the sanhedrine had a court. When two witnesses see the outline of the new moon, they come to the court to say they have seen the outline of the new moon. Then the court would declare a new month or new year. When they knew by the moon when the first day of the new year occured, they could determine the first day of Rosh hashanna or when it should begin.

They would also know when the other festivals should be.

Rosh hashanna is the only festival that could not be predicted ahead of time as the other festivals because it was determined {the time of it} by the moon and a court had to declare it so IT IS THE DAY THAT NO MAN KNOWETH"

It is a reminder of Jesus statement Matthew 24:36
Jesus seems to be giving a clue
"But of that day and hour knoweth no man..."
Matthew 24:30 "And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven....and they shall see the Son of man comming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory."
verse 31 "And he shall send His angels with a great sound of a Trumpet"
verse 32 "Now learn the parable of the fig tree. When his branch is yet tender and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh
verse 33 "So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors."

Rosh Hashanna is usually in September, the Automnl of the year, harvest time. It seems a symbolic time to come and gather His elect, His wheat.

Matthew 3:12
"Whose fan is in His hand and He will thoroughly purge His floor and gather His wheat into the garner..."

Also the Jewish festivals days are sundown to sundown like Sabbath so the first day would be half of one day and half of another. So an event happening on the first day of a Rosh Hashanna could happen, for example, on a Wedsday or Thursday.

There are 10 days till Yon kippur, the day of atonement. Seven of them are called "the days of awe" Perhapps they should call them the days of "shock and awe" because these are the days, prophesied to be the days of "Jacob's trouble". These days will be troubled because of the antimessiah. Those that are good will be with the Lord,
{read the story of the ten virgins awaiting the bridgroom Matthew 25:1and 10}
The moral is they were ready for His comming
Matthew 25:6
the Messiah for a season till the trouble has past. Perhapps seven days or weeks or years. Whatever amount of time it is, after the touble has past, we will return to earth with the Messiah at the sound of the great trump on the day of Atonement - Yon Kippur, which ever year that will be.

Then Jesus will plant His feet on the Mount as promised and destroy alll the armies who have tried to destroy Israel. It is the antimessiah's attempt to prevent Zion being established. The good news is that the antimessiah {antichrist} will be defeated as prophesied and the Messiah will have His coronation as king of all the earth.

On earth we will have the marriage supper of the Lamb at the time of sukkot. we eat with those that have survived the days of awe.
Isaiah 62:5
"... as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride so shall thy God rejoice over thee"

It mentions fleeing into the mountains to hide in the rocks in Matthew 24:15-21
""When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the Holy place. Then let them which be in Judea, flee into the mountains. Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take anything out of his house. Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes ..."

Those that are not caught up that are residing in Jerusalem will have to flee into the mountains to avoid the antimessiah spoken of in Matthew 24:15

This time is like the time of the Syrian Hellenistic king of about 350 B.C, who ordered Temple worship to cease and invaded the Temple and dessicrated it. He built a statue to zeus there. It is prophesied that the antimessiah will do the same but instead of a staue to himself he will make an image of himself demanding they worship it.
Daniel 8:1-8 and Daniel 11:21-35
It has an end time message.
Some of the prophesies surrounding the King of Syria were not fulfilled therefore it speaks of another that is similar at a future time.

Daniel chapter 11 mentions Edom and that the antimessiah is not permitted somehow to enter it.

There is a rose colored city in Edom called PETRA that has buildings built into the rocks and a water supply. It is entered through a narrow passage in the rocks. This could easily be sealed up with an earthquake after the fleeing jews have entered safely. This would be similar to the passing of the Israelites through the red sea. It opened to them so they could pass but afterwards it closed up so the Egyptians could not reach them. If an earthquake were to happen, that would prevent the antimessiah from reaching them there.

Another name for Rosh Hashana is the day of judgement.
Both Isaiah and daniel speaks of a "Court seated" and the books will be opened.

1. The Book of the righteous {Book of Life}
those that are redeemed

2. Book of the average
those that sin in ignorence or just men decieved

3. Book of the wicked
those who rejected gospel

Another name for Rosh hashanna is Day of Remembrance for those who have spoken often of Him, the Lord
Malachi 3:16
" ... a book of remembrance was written before Him for them that feared the Lord and that thought upon His name."

Sometime during the days of awe the Temple will be rebuilt or already built.
Isaiah and Numbers mentions a red heiffer that will be burnt and the ashes sprinkled on the priests and on the Temple Mount. Then they can build or dedicate the temple.

As the gates are opened on Rosh Hashanna, the gates are closed the day of atonement, Yon kippur. The last service of Yon Kippur is the closing of the gates.

Jesus fulfilled the other festivals so it wouldn't be unlike Him to fulfill Rosh hashanna and the day of atonement with His second comming.

David Good , a Messianic Jew, supplied this clue of 'The day that no man knoweth" on a program I watches several years ago. I recorded it for future reference. I'm glad I did so I could share it with you, His chosen people.
I hope you enjoyed this.
Shalom

I thought I should explain better "the meeting of the bridegroom"
Revelation 4:1
"After this I looked and behold a door was opened in heaven and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me which said "Come up hither ... and immediately I was in the spirit and behold a throne was set in heaven and one sat on the throne."

The first trumpet is mentioned in Exodus 19:17 when the children of Israel received the 10 commandments. {pentecost for some reason is called the first trump}.

The left horn of the ram is blown, perhapps in the morning hours of the first day.

The last trump with the right horn of the ram maybe sometime in the afternoon. This maybe to call those whose bodies are in the ground.

Isaiah 26:19-21 +++++++

A. the dead shall live....resurrection of the body

B. Enter into your marriage chamber, canopy

This would be after the righteous are caught up to meet the Lord
1 Thessalonians 4:17
"Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air...."
2 Corinthians 12:2 and 4 and Revelation 12:5 mention similar experiences others have had in the past.

C. Shut your doors and hide yourself for awhile. The Lord hides us, those that are caught up with Him, where He is. He hides us till the indignation {Jacob's trouble}the birth pains, has passed.

He also will hide those left on the earth, a remnant of the house of Israel, in the mountains, perhapps Petra, where they could be sealed up for a time till He descends to rule and reign.
