Iraq war - Right or Wrong?

jonny, I don't totally disagree, and I do respect your opinion. When the war 1st started, I was for it. But the more I think about it, the more I'm against it. I don't dislike Bush. I would much rather of had him in then the other choices. But I do wonder his true motives. I, nor anyone, can know his true motives other then himself. I also am old enough to remember Vietnam. This war is turning into the same.
What has changed from when it started to now? It is harder than you thought it was going to be? More people died than you thought would die? I didn't support the war because of WMDs. I supported it because I didn't like Saddam and wanted him removed from power. I don't really care what Bush's motivations were.

I don't think that this war is turing into Vietnam, but I'm not old enough to remember Vietnam. There seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel with this war.

Nope. It's just a stupid one. Look next to the word "Religion" on every one of my posts.
So, you were raised to think there were stupid questions? Have you ever thought that doesn't really make sense? Give me another smart answer, to this question: When, or if you call on God, how is God addressed? Like when you jingle God's bell, what do you say?
He doesn't mind if you answer in a "smart" way.

Well, much as I hate any form of killing, I agree. The world is better without Saddam; the trouble is we're not talking ideals here, this is the real world.

I have a horrible feeling that as soon as we get out, a new Saddam will emerge. I am sure there are plenty waiting to put on his shoes.......

edit: I would rather we hadn't flattened half the civilians that we did, as well.....
Excellent points, michel! I agree 100%

No. I decided that on my own.

Depends on what "that" is.

Heavenly Father

jonny, I was under the impression when the war started, that we would go in, got the job done, and get the heck back out. I was upset about 911. But the more I read and understand about why other countries hate us, I've changed my tune. The more I think about it, read about it, as from people like michel and the Doc, the more I believe I was wrong. I hope that 10 years from now we can look back and find positive things about this. But right now, all I see is wrong.

What on earth does this have to do with the Iraq war?
