What Relaxes You?

You are tired, you come home from work or school all stressed out, pulling out your hair, wanting to kick the first person who smiles at you: I am wondering what various people do to relax.

I listen to soft music, take a hard walk, play a RPG video game, read a book, or find something funny to laugh at. The ocean relaxes me, watching nature (I learned how to picture a relaxing place in my mind to help me with anxiety)

What do you guys to do relax? :beach::beach::beach:

Oddly enough, there're times where putting on the wolf tail I have is a goo way to relax. I have no idea why, it just does. Maybe it has something to do with having a chance to do something unique.

Other times I'll put in a shooting game or read a favorite section of a book.

It depends on what exactly has me stressed. Music is always a good bet for me, but it could range from bands like Tool, NIN, Behemoth, Dethklok, or something like Kansas, Aerosmith, or AC/DC. A tart and tangy margarita is sometimes a good stress reliever. A second vote for an orgasm. And sometimes certain games are fun, typically an RPG, a few shooters, Castlevania, Metroid, or beating my opponent to a pulp with a super-powered character in a Dragonball/DBZ fighting game.

My most effective relaxation is running. Any strenuous aerobic exercise works similarly, but running is my favorite - I have my tried and true routes, my tunes, and the pavement. It's meditative, cathartic, therapeutic, and at the end of a hard four-mile-run, a shower and a Coke never felt so damn good. It truly relaxes me like nothing else.

Exercise. Sports, gym, running, cycling, etc.

My nightly shower. Nice warm water, then I put on moisturizer, it's nice. It's kind of "me" time.

Watching a movie with my partner and maybe some rum.

Cuddling/sex.

Looking up new potential investments. (Most people seem to find that stressful, but I find it a relaxing way to spend time).

devotional music, chanting mantras, meditating, hugging my gf for good time, sleeping, hot showers.

I forgot about walking. I don't jog or run to avoid the impact on my knees, but a four/MPH pace for an hour is plenty of time to think, enjoy nature, and feel pretty good. And then a hot shower after a vigorous workout, followed by some moisturizer...it's probably the second closest thing to heaven that can be experienced.

Cuddling with my boyfriend. His presence relaxes me.

Music and wine also relax me. I greatly enjoy spending time on my front porch and back deck, by my lonesome with a cup of coffee, glass of wine or a cigarette...and just look up at the sky, the stars and think. This is when I pray, reflect and marvel.

Curling up with a good book and a cup of coffee (during the day) or a glass of wine (during the evening) is my favorite way to relax.

I enjoy the outdoors, a walk around the block, a hike through the woods, a bike ride. I also enjoy walking around a nice downtown, and then sitting on a bench and watching the people.

RF's pet cat
Petting a cat and listening its purr, cuddling in bed and watch anime, various videos on youtube (whispers, relaxations, meditation, nature sounds), Bob Ross :p , drinking some form of warm drink with honey in it, drawing, playing RPGs, playing The Sims or Simcity, super hot baths and having a head massage (gets me tingles, asmr).

Motorcycles, probably my favorite as I do this most. I've had to choose between bikes and women before - women should know better before they date me.

Manual Biking, got a Schwinn to go with the hogs and other scoots. I need exercise, too. I secretly hate nearly all forms of boxed in transport, except muscle cars. Who hates muscle cars? Nobody, that's what I thought.

Hiking/camping/outdoors
Working around house.
Shooting
Reading
Hanging around friends
Music
Internet

Sometimes just doing nothing at all but staring out into nowhere. I think it's some primitive form of meditation. Not sure what it is but it works.

Sipping, not drinking, fine liquor. Drinking is for social gatherings.

Spending time with the animal that resides in my dwelling. She growled when I almost forgot to mention her.
