I think that my religion has the potential to set a person on the path to Realisation and liberation from material existence. My religion, like most, will only help the person wanting to grow, but like all things, can be used to selfish purposes.

I think that I am a good and kind person, so that I may influence others with my positivity and caring. I am sure my faults also cause problems. I don't think I am any better or worse that the average person.

Myself? As an aspiring entertainer, I hope to keep people sane. I intend to incorporate some of my religion's philosophies into my work without explicately saying it's from Hinduism.

Short answer: nothing.

But based on my cosmology... here's the long answer.

Long answer: The physical world (cosmos) is a problem, as is evidenced by all the evils you see around you by people, things, nature. What this faith does for human kind has to do with those who are able to accept the divine spark, but all the light will eventually return to where it comes from. The religion (dogma) itself has little to do with this exercise of becoming. It does not desire, and there is no point in helping the physical realm trap humankind in a prison.

(woah, deeply intense O_O )

I don't follow any religion. For my small part I try to teach my children empathy and compassion to the best of my ability. They will go out into the world and achieve something great or just be happy and treat others and themselves with respect. Either way I'll be happy.:)

What is it about yourself and your religion that benifits mankind or the world?

The Baha'i Faith (and I hope, myself, too) promotes the unity and oneness of God, humanty, and all the major religions, as well as stressing love, peace, harmony, and concord and working to achieve these every day!

Best! :)

Being a Catholic means not accepting things as they were, but looks at everything with a dynamic view, always looking for something new; something that is better. Having a "Catholic vision" means being "One" with the other members in terms of its beliefs and faith in spite of having many differences.

Being a Vaishnava / Hare Krishna / Hindu, it allows for some amount of pluralism and understanding, that everyone has a different view that can somehow be harmonised into one's personal spiritual life. That there is only one Absolute Truth, the Absolute Beauty that exists in all major religions, and that tolerance of other spiritual views is necessary for one's own spiritual progression. Every person is a child inherent with the latent capabilities of divine qualities!

Being a Baha'i I chose to work in the field of social services forty some years ago.. Principles in the Baha'i Faith encourage reducing the extremes of wealth and poverty. I was also involved in the civil rights movement and the peace movement which are also cardinal principles of the Baha'i teachings.
