List Spells and Their 'Ingredients'?

The Sum of Awe

Brought to you by the moment that spacetime began.
I'm trying to look for information on a lot of magick/magic spells to practice. Any kind would be good, I just want to see if any would actually work. I'll try a whole bunch, if one fails I'll try a few more, if about ten to fifteen of them don't work in a row, I'll just stop.

So list some spells you have done/practice now by name, and what their affect is, and how to do it. If you don't mind.

I really want to practice magick or magic, either one, I don't care.

What way do you mean it doesn't work in? I mean, there has to be a way to perform it, that's all I was talking about. I didn't say it happened right away or anything like that.

I wasn't going to use it as a toy, just want to study it.

I try not to do the same spell twice, though I often do the same banishing more than once.

So yeah, can't help.

I don't mean this in an offensive way, but this post is likely to put people off sharing spells with you for a couple of reasons. Firstly magic is a long learning process, looking to bang off a dozen spells to see if it works is bad practice. Secondly, being overly eager is dangerous when it comes to magic especially since you don't appear to have a real grasp on the philosophy of magic. Finally (and forgive me for being presumptuous) you sound rather young. While there are some people raised to learn witchcraft it would be irresponsible of us to list spells for a young person who hasn't yet covered the basics.

Like I say, I'm not trying to be rude, but this isn't something you can just pick up and use. If you're lucky nothing will happen.

People keeping things secret makes me feel more sure that it doesn't work. Making me more want to do it.

I'd agree that spellcraft is a discipline, but I confess I get a bit tired of the cautionary regarding its use that sometimes gets espoused. I recall quite clearly as a kid just "messing around" with spellcraft and it operated for me just fine. It's how I learned, and at the time I didn't even know magical movements even existed. It was only much later I had a context for it and learned that there are all these "rules" or taboos. Thus I have some mixed feelings on sharing such things. On the one hand, I really do feel all the cautionary nonsense is overblown, but on the other, I do definitely agree that treating it as a discipline has clear benefits.

On that note, Sum of Awe, I would start with some things that are basic disciplines to doing other work:

1) Meditation
2) Visualization
3) Basic energy work

Honestly, you can do spellwork just using these three things alone, but I am also not the sort to get very ceremonial with how I practice.

Whenever I get tension in my shoulders from stress, I run through a very basic exercise that uses aspects of each of those above areas. It's a simple relaxation meditation, combined with visualization and energy work of an orb of light that relaxes parts of my body as it cascades over them. Very, very simple spell and with practice, very, very effective.

@The Sum of Awe: I've thought a little more on this. Perhaps a safe-ish starting point for you would be divination if you're interested? There are some good tarot sets out there, runestones tend to be quite useful and dowsing is incredibly simple.
Skrying can be much more dramatic, but you also need a bit of natural talent to do it.

Would you be interested in covering some of these topics in more detail?

Beyond that if you wanted to go into actual spell casting I would recommend we start with the absolute basics. Do you know how to meditate? How to see auras?
