Tea Party Laughs At Death

I think the laughter may have been in surprised response to the guys yelling yeah and that is not indicative of agreement with the sentiment that the guy should be left to die, rather it shows that those laughing find the enthusiastic yeahs to be ridiculous. I know that's why I laughed when I heard this.

This has got to be one of the dumbest news stories and the dumbest talking point in politics this year. Wolf Blitzer asked a leading question and one guy emphatically yells out yeah. Then the audience applauds Ron Paul's response in which doesn't state that society should let this man die.

People are getting dumber and dumber. What's next in major political news. Kim Kardashian's butt size.

While it's appalling it happened, I wouldn't be so quick to over generalize.
Several loud cheers of "yeah!" followed by laughter could be heard in the Expo Hall at the Florida State Fairgrounds in response to Blitzer's question.
As much as I disagree with the Tea Party, even I realized that "several" was probably no more than a few very loud individuals, and that likely does not accurately reflect the majority of the Tea Party. The article even explains that Rick Perry criticized such thinking, and he is definitely being bolstered by the Tea Party and can't risk offending them or he will loose a chunk of popularity.
