Hi May, yes I too believe Jesus is the Son of God..I believe he is the unique Son of God, He is divine..

The divine names are applied to Christ in many passages, including these:

"For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given, and the government shall be upon His shoulder. And His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."—Isaiah 9:6.

"The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness: Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God."—Isaiah 40:3.

"Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. In His days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely. And this is His name whereby He shall be called: The Lord Our Righteousness."—Jeremiah 23:5-6.

"And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit,"—1 Timothy 3:16.

6 - CHRIST HAS THE DIVINE ATTRIBUTES

Jesus Christ is shown to have the qualities of divinity—the divine attributes—in several passages, including these:

Omnipresence:
"For where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them."—Matthew 18:20.

"Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world."—Matthew 28:20.

"And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but He that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven."—John 3:13.

Omniscience:
"And he said unto Him, Lord, Thou knowest all things."—John 21:17.

"I am He which searcheth the reins and hearts, and I will give unto every one of you according to your works."—Revelation 2:23.

Omnipotence:
"For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given, and the government shall be upon His shoulder. And His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."—Isaiah 9:6.

"Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto His glorious body, according to the working whereby He is able even to subdue all things unto Himself."—Philippians 3:21.

"I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty."—Revelation 1:8.

7 - CHRIST HAS EVERY ATTRIBUTE OF GOD

Christ has every quality, every attribute which belongs to the Father:

"For in Him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily."—Colossians 2:9.

8 - CHRIST DOES THE DIVINE WORKSJesus not only has the divine attributes or qualities, but He does the things which God does.

Creator:
Jesus Christ is the Creator! He made us. Who are we to talk back to Him and try to denigrate Him to something lower than that which He is?

"All things were made by Him, and without Him was not any thing made that was made . . He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not."—John 1:3, 10.

"For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers. All things were created by Him, and for Him."—Colossians 1:16.

"God . . hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds . . And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of Thine hands."—Hebrews 1:1-2, 10.

"And God said, let us make man in our image."—Genesis 1:26.

Lawgiver:

Jesus is the Lawgiver. Indeed, He is above the law! (Patriarchs and Prophets, 63:2). Seriously now, a created being could not be above the law!

And a related point could also be mentioned: How could the "power of an endless [Greek: indissoluble] life (Hebrews 7:16), and the "fullness of the Godhead" (Colossians 2:9) be given to a created being?

How could an angel create all things for himself..
Only Jehovah is devine ,but Jesus is (devine like) Jesus was the only one created by God himself , he is called Gods only -begotten son . the first-born son also bears the title (The word)
So the Word became flesh and resided among us, and we had a view of his glory, a glory such as belongs to an only-begotten son from a father; and he was full of undeserved kindness and truth ( John 1;14) The word was with Jehovah God in the beginning when the heavens and the earth was created ,He was the one to whom God said Let us make man in our image Jehovahs first-born son was there at his fathers side actively working with him At Proverbs 8;22-31 he is represented as saying , i came to be beside (The creator)as a master worker, and i came to be the one he was specially fond of day by day, i being glad before him all the time......... yes they worked side by side and this son was obedient to his father Jehovah. it is vital that we have an accurate knowledge about who Jesus was getting to know Jesus also means increasing our knowledge of Jehovah God

Therefore Jesus said: "When once YOU have lifted up the Son of man, then YOU will know that I am [he], and that I do nothing of my own initiative; but just as the Father taught me I speak these things.............John 8;28

Philip said to him: "Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us."

Jesus said to him: "Have I been with YOU men so long a time, and yet, Philip, you have not come to know me? He that has seen me has seen the Father [also]. How is it you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in union with the Father and the Father is in union with me? The things I say to YOU men I do not speak of my own originality; but the Father who remains in union with me is doing his works. John 14;8-10

This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ John 17;3............

Divine attributes are ascribed to Him and manifested by Him. There are five distinctively divine attributes. These are eternity, omnipresence, omniscience, omnipotence, and immutability. Christ possesses all of these. He is eternal. He was not only before John (John 1:15), before Abraham (John 8:58), and before the world came into being (John 17:5, 24); but He is "the firstborn of every creature" (Col. 1:15), being in existence "in the beginning" (John 1:1; I John 1:1); and, in fact, "from the days of eternity" (Micah 5:2, marg.). And as to the future, He continues forever (Heb. 1:11, Isa. 9:6, Rev. 1:11 [KJV]). The Father's communication of life to Him is an eternal process (John 5:26; 1:4). In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

When the apostle John says, "the Word was God," he is not saying that Jesus is the Father; he is saying Christ possessed Deity. Even the non-trinitarian Bible translator William Barclay admits that the essence of John 1:1 is referring to the nature of Christ:

Christ is the "firstborn (Greek: prototokos) of all creation," the head over all, just as David spoke of God's promise to him,

I also shall make him My firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth. (Ps. 89:27)

Whether the Greek prototokos means "first one born" or "the first in authority" is determined from the context of the discussion. In Ps. 89:27 the meaning is obviously the latter, as in Col. 1:15. Prototokos is also applied to Christ in Romans 8:29, where he is called the "firstborn among many brethren" and also in Col. 1:18, "so that He Himself might come to have first place in everything." The latter clearly identifies the way the word should be understood, both in Col. 1:15 and Heb. 1:6. Beyond any doubt, Christ is continually spoken of as being preeminent or first in all things.

The New International Dictionary of New Testament Theology states regarding prototokos:

(a) As a title for the mediator of creation, it is used in Col. 1:15, as is demonstrated by parallel sayings in v. 16, "in him all things were created. . . . all things were created through him and for him," and v. 17, "He is before all things, and in him all things hold together." Both supporters and opponents of the suggestion that prototokos in Col. 1 echoes Hel., mythical ideas agree that the statement is a confession of the supreme rank of the pre-existent Christ as the mediator in the creation of all things (cf. E. Kasemann, op. cit., 154ff.; W. Michaelis, TDNT VI 879 f.). (p. 668)

JW believe what the bible tells us and that is ,Jehovah God is the creator.(revelation 4;11) He is without beginning or end, and he is almighty(psalm 90;2) Jesus ,on the other hand, had a beginning.(collossians1; 15-16) Refering to God as his father, Jesus said , the father is greater than i am(john 14;28) Jesus also explained that there were some things neither he nor the angels knew but that were only known by the father (mark 13; 32) Jesus also prayed to his father ,let not my will, but yours take place (luke 22;42) to whom was Jesus praying if not to a superior personage? furthermore,it was God who resurrected Jesus from the dead, not Jesus himself.(Acts 2;32) so we can see that the father and the son were not equal before Jesus came to the earth or during his earthly life.

people have said to me ,you are just like your father because sometimes i do things the way he does , so Jesus was so in tune with his father and always looked to him for guidance that the bible tells us that he is the image of God so just as i am not my father , people say that i am the image of him but we are two seperate beings Jesus learnt the same qualities as his father because he was taught by his father

Subjection is not synonymous with nature. Persons who are equal in nature can still be subject to a headship arrangement, such as with the case of husband and wife. Additionally it must be pointed out that most all references that make Christ out as dependent on the Father should be understood as part of his voluntary kenosis, or emptying out, in order to become a man. He became an EXAMPLE for us to follow, and he continually pointed us in the right attitude towards the Father, including how to pray, etc. Yet he himself was later prayed to (Acts 2:21 [except NWT] and Acts 7:59).

How could he be God at all if he prayed to the Father, stated that there were things that even he didn't know but only the Father, and even called the Father "his God"?

The answer to these difficulties comes through the realization that Christ emptied himself of his glory to become a human (Phil. 2:9). It is like the president of a company that desires his own son to know the company well enough to run it, so he suggests the son become a janitor in the company for a time, to get the feel of it. While he is a janitor, he sets aside his active title to future ownership of the company; at first the employees may not even know who he is (it's better that way). He is fully a janitor, yet fully co-owner of the company. But he holds his real power in check for a time, in order to accomplish a special work. During the time of his humiliation, he is fully subject to the other employees and can even be ridiculed and shoved around. Yet by the very nature of his birthright he could destroy the future of anyone in the company if he so chose. The employees, however, would find that hard to believe, as they recognize him only as a janitor.

Such is a crude illustration of the incarnation of Christ. Though possessing Deity and bearing the very nature and image of his Father, he laid his rights aside; his position, his powers, etc. to relate to man fully and to carry out his work of salvation. Yet he was still God; just in human flesh, and voluntarily limited.

As jw only believe what the bible says and do not take on the manmade trinty docrine we are not confused as to his relationship with his father yes he did empty him self to come on the earth and because of his obedience he has been exalted
More than that, when he found himself in fashion as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient as far as death, yes, death on a torture stake. For this very reason also God exalted him to a superior position and kindly gave him the name that is above every [other] name

philippians 2; 8-9......... yes as the bible tells us he was not God , but because of his obedience he was exalted by his Father ........ yes he did his fathers will and then he was exalted to a superior position i think obedience to Jehovah leads to better things.

Jesus himself told us that he only did things the way his Father did them ,this makes sense because he was in the beginning with his Father in the heavens, and he was taught by his father , what a great teacher Jesus was, he got his teaching from the source of the Almighty God Jehovah
Therefore, in answer, Jesus went on to say to them: "Most truly I say to YOU, The Son cannot do a single thing of his own initiative, but only what he beholds the Father doing. For whatever things that One does, these things the Son also does in like manner,,,,John

What things I have seen with my Father I speak; and YOU, therefore, do the things YOU have heard from [YOUR] father..........John 8;38

(John 5:30) I cannot do a single thing of my own initiative; just as I hear, I judge; and the judgment that I render is righteous, because I seek, not my own will, but the will of him that sent me.

(John 8:28) Therefore Jesus said: "When once YOU have lifted up the Son of man, then YOU will know that I am [he], and that I do nothing of my own initiative; but just as the Father taught me I speak these things.

(John 12:49) because I have not spoken out of my own impulse, but the Father himself who sent me has given me a commandment as to what to tell and what to speak.......... so as the bible tells us Jesus had devine teaching so when we are taught by Jesus it is like being taught by God himself .that is why Jesus said when you see me you have seen the father

We try to inform people that they have an earthly hope, since only 144,000 go to heaven; Psalms 37:29- "The righteous themselves will posess the earth and they will reside forever upon it." And people will never know that they have that hope if we don't help them to gain knowledge, " John 17:3- This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God and of the one whom youv'e sent forth Jesus Christ."

CHRISTIANS are commanded to observe the Memorial of Christ’s death. This observance is also called "the Lord’s evening meal." (1 Corinthians 11:20) What is so significant about it? When and how should it be observed?

Jesus Christ instituted this observance on the night of the Jewish Passover in 33 C.E. The Passover was a celebration held just once a year, on the 14th day of the Jewish month Nisan. To calculate that date, the Jews evidently waited for the spring equinox. This is the day when there are approximately 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of darkness. The first observable new moon nearest to the spring equinox marked the beginning of Nisan. Passover came 14 days later, after sunset.
Jesus celebrated the Passover with his apostles, dismissed Judas Iscariot, and then instituted the Lord’s Evening Meal. This meal replaced the Jewish Passover and therefore should be observed only once a year
