Can you define a game and what makes a game a game?

Does it have to have atleast 2 people?

no solitare is a "game right"

Does it have to be fun?

no russian roulette is a "game"


So what makes a game, a game?

Hmm....I dunno! Here's the best I can think of: in something that is purely a simulation, it is meant only to model a reality--in other words, there are no objectives and you never win. A game can simulate something, but there have to be challenging objectives for the player(s) who try to accomplish them in order to win (only to play some more, of course!)

I'd say a game would provide some form of interactive entertainment.
