well.. the modern word hell comes from the Norse goddess Hel... who was the ruler of the Norse underworld... not a nice place.

apathy is worse than hate. love is peaceful, honest, sincere, caring, helpful, etc. those who don't want to love others, just be loved, have a place to go too, called hell or the abyss so that they don't disturb the peace of heaven.

I've always thought of hell as being the place where the dead are laid. In Hebrew the word Sheol was translated into the Greek word Hades. The Hebrew Sheol meaning the common grave of mankind. The word Sheol is first used in Genesis 37:35 and is translated "grave". Ten times in the New Testament the word "hell" is used as a translation of the original Greek word "Hades." In other words, if you were to read the original Greek text, you would not see the word "hell," but instead you would see the word "hades." And "hades" is derived from an Anglo-Saxon root meaning ‘to conceal' or ‘to cover'. Why did the translators use the word "hell" instead of "grave"? And why is it that people think of it then as a place of eternal misery and torture and an abode of evil spirits? When in reality, if anyone actually took the time to study the scriptures, all it means is "the common grave of mankind"? I think the translators made an error and now its common belief that the "hell" in the new testament represents some type of evil, tortorous place.

I'm back!
what is hell? suffering? what does suffering come from? hate. what does hate come from? misunderstanding and fear.

the best way to get rid of anger is to be patient.

Salvation

The human personality is mostly hidden. It is hard to know how others see you or what may be your reaction in a certain circumstance. To deal with all aspects hidden and not so hidden requires a little effort.

There is a way of believing in the heart and confessing with the mouth that a converted person who has the Holy Spirit is able to progress through. Both need to occur together to move into a whole new experience. All the human traites which are not automaticly dealt with at conversion inhibit belief and lessen the power of what is being said. Purifying has to occur and is a process that progressively goes deeper and deeper.

But on this one will I look: on him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, And who trembles at my word. Isiah 66-2
Gather my saints together to me, Those who have made a covenant with me by sacrifice, Psalm 50-5,6
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart. Psalm 51-17

Rend the heart not the garments. Humble thy self!

This condition has to be induced as though real before any approach to God can occur. A cleansing power that manifests a gentle nature goes to a depth that is dependant on how far the individual is able to go.

I have gone all the way and it took three weeks of fasting before the final act of using willpower to thrust away every last aspect of myself. (being my natural make up.)
I experienced a nature that is more gentle than can be comprehended by human mind.
All humans are ruled in the mind and it takes some time and effort to separate from the personal set beliefs (demonic realm) and reach the purity that is possible.

All thought has to be centered and every distracting thought expelled to talk out of a new mind. Bring every thought into the captivity of Christ. Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

Willpower is used to energize own belief but once this is overcome belief is not about self and the will is directed through perfection. (a perfect nature, the nature of Jesus Christ).
Willpower is similar to God's spirit power but directs it through an imperfect nature with its beliefs powerfully fulfilling what that brings, which is ultimately death.

Salvation is about learning, practising and completing the transformation out of the natural and into the spiritual condition and complete harmony with God that produces obvious changes and a full realization of what immortality would be like.
