Getting away with murder.

Just like O.J., I do believe that Casey Anthony did the crime, however taking the evidence at face value and the prosecution not being able to create enough doubt that she was innocent, you have to respect jurors verdict. It was quick and they didn't ask for any recounts on the case. Seems like they all felt that the prosecution failed.

They may have been more successful if they had gone for negligent homicide.
From what I saw, that would have been easier to prove.
I would rather a killer do 15-20 years than 3 or 4.

I think the Jury did the best they could with the charges and evidence they had.

Jury finds Casey Anthony not guilty of murder – This Just In - CNN.com Blogs

No justice for Caylee. They must've really scraped the bottom of the barrel when it came to the juror selection.

Maybe a few years down the road Casey Anthony and O. J. Simpson will fall in love on a hit T.V. reality show.
I assume then that you sat in the court room every day and heard all the evidence and testimony just as the jurors had. Otherwise, if you ever become a defendant in court you wouldn't care if the jurors heard all of the evidence or not before coming to a conclusion because it simply isn't necessary.

Call me when the state provides substantial evidence of the charges they put forth.

Until then, history will show that, in this trial, the American system of jurisprudence worked quite well, even efficiently.

I dunno what she did or didn't do, but it sure sounds like she ain't right in the head.

Kathryn

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
I blame the prosecution more than I do the jurors.

One thing is for sure - Casey Anthony is a pure D *****.

If 'not right in the head' were prosecutable, there would be like a dozen humans not in jail.

Then again, we all are kinda in a self made prison, so my point is moot.

If she had any type of conscious at all she'd kill herself. Either way, she'll need to watch her ***. People don't take to kindly to baby-killers.

It's kind of horrible, but after seeing the verdict earlier I've had that Alice Cooper song stuck in my head.

While I feel that she really did kill her daughter, I'm glad that the jurors remained objective and based their decision on the evidence that was put forth, rather than their gut feelings or opinions. I'm not sure if the prosecution was at fault or if there just wasn't enough evidence. I still think she should serve more jail time than it appears she will(she may not have to serve any more jail time at all).

As was pointed out on one of the network news shows this evening, in trials that attract a lot of national attention jurors almost always pay closer attention to the letter of the law than in less publicized trials. For one thing, as it was explained, none of them want to be guilty of, or even accused of, ignoring any part of the law or the instructions they were given.

In any case, as someone who wasn't there and heard all the evidence and testimony I would never second guess any conclusion of those who had, which is why I think it's rash and unjust to second guess the decision and claim she's guilty or  should take her own life.

The jury was a bunch of dumb ***** who didn't even have the guts to face the public and explain themselves. I was scared from the beginning that they'd find her innocent, because jurys are notorious for being stupid *******. I know why they came up with the verdict they did, because none of the evidence was 100% conclusive... But sometimes you just have to use common sense. Why did she have her dead child in her trunk? Why did she lie and tell everyone her baby was with people who don't exist? Who the **** put duct tape and a heart-shaped sticker on Caylee's mouth? Why in the hell was there chloroform in her trunk, and why did her car smell like decomposing human corpse? I think "reasonable doubt" needs to be better defined. There is a slight possibility that Casey is innocent, but it's such a far-fetched possibility that the doubt isn't really all that reasonable...

And she dragged her family through the mud. I hope her parents don't let her come back home to mooch off them anymore.

The defense theory was so ******* stupid. They blamed everyone except Casey... Her brother and father molested her. The man who found Caylee's body kept her for a while and put her in the swamp later for the reward money... The way I see it, if the defense story is so ******* unbelievable, she can't be innocent... Why would an innocent person go ahead and keep lying even through the trial? And why wouldn't she testify when she didn't do anything wrong? All through the trial, she only cried when they said something that made her look like a victim. She didn't cry for her family or for her baby.

I went into watching the trial with an open mind. (and I did indeed watch a lot of it, because it's summer and I have nothing else to do) I thought I'd see what defense they came up with and be open to considering it as truth... But the defense was retarded. The procecution did everything they could. It didn't help that the dumb **** cop who responded to the original call from Roy Kronk in August didn't even thouroughly investigate the area where Caylee's body was... If he had done his job back then, there may have been more evidence...

What a ******* *****. I hope someone kills her. If she indeed gets out on Thursday, this will still be fresh in the minds of a bunch of really disappointed middle-aged women, and one of them will probably kill her. I hope so anyway... But then, the judge is pretty strict, so he might give her at least a year (on top of the 3 she's already served) since she was found guilty for all those lies she told (the ones before the trial, not during.)

What a ******* whore. **** **** ****. Casey is such a ****.

At least we can live with the satisfaction that she will be hated by everyone wherever she goes. The only people who will want to be around her will be insane selfish ************* who will never be true friends to her. She's lost her family (unless they are dumb enough to accept her back...) Her life will never be what it was before. Now she can go and party without the burden of having a child, but everywhere she goes, everyone will threaten her life, yell at her, and **** in her drinks.

Being hated by a bunch of self righteous, emotionally charged hypocrites is something I am sure she will lose lots of sleep over.

She might be mad and she might be bad, and people might hate her, but she has had her trial and she is found innocent. There is no chance at all that she could have bought the Jury.
It should be left at that.

Kathryn

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
Oh it will be left at that - and she'll go on to "write" a book (via a ghost writer, I'm sure), and be interviewed, and party her ****** little *** off, and she'll find some schmuck to date and possibly even marry (money and notoriety and fifteen minutes of fame always being such a draw to some people), and - God forbid - she may even have more children. Her dysfunctional family will probably take her back in - and then kick her out - and the media circus will continue.

None of that will change the fact that she is reviled because of her deceitful, shallow, and asocial personality - and most of all because of her heartless attitude and actions after the dissappearance of her adorable little daughter. Her behavior was absolutely ATROCIOUS and I personally don't see how she was not found guilty of felony child abuse via neglect.

In my opinion, the only reason why she was partying after her daughter dissappeared, rather than searching frantically, is because she knew that Caylee was dead and not simply "missing." When a child is "missing," no normal mother can think of anything other than finding that child.

What a creep she is.

One thing I do believe is this - that we never truly "get away with" horrible things that we do. We may circumvent the law, we may lie our way out of a situation, but I do believe in karma and I do believe that "what goes around comes around."

At the end of the day, Casey Anthony still has to get up every morning and hang out with herself all day. Which is probably a pretty bad punishment in and of itself.
